In other news today, the SCOTUS reversed the 9th Circus, again, and struck down a California law, on 1st Amendment grounds, that required certain not-for-profits to disclose their donors. C.J Roberts wrote the 6-3 opinion.

Why so shocking. They get a bunch of things right, and some things wrong.

No different than any other branch of government. Hell, Trump got a bunch of things right, and then did stupid things like banning bump stocks and spending a ton of money.

The U.S. Department of Justice today released the following statement from spokesman Anthony Coley following the Supreme Court’s decision in Brnovich, et al. v. Democratic National Committee, et al.:

“The Attorney General has made clear, ‘the Department of Justice will never stop working to protect the democracy to which all Americans are entitled.’ The department remains strongly committed to challenging discriminatory election laws and will continue to use every legal tool available to protect all qualified Americans seeking to participate in the electoral process. The department urges Congress to enact additional legislation to provide more effective protection for every American’s right to vote.”

Equal Justice under the Law would reverse the situation and claim that any illegal votes disenfranchise the votes of legal citizens, including the minorities they are trying to protect.

My comment would be to the justices, “Would you mind if we illegally added five more justices to the court to offset the weight of your legal vote on cases?” Who would be disenfranchised? You a legal justice or the illegal justices placed in the court?

I always try to reverse the situation and put the judge and/or jury in the position of my client.

Is this what she does for, uh, “release?” >>>>>>>>

Kagan is a diabetic and always craves a little sugar on her buns. No sugar. She has a judicial fit. For years her court clerks have been giving her their tootsie roll lolly pops.

"Hate to be a pain, but this probably means when crooked states do awful things with their election laws, the supremes will probably back them up, too."

Not so much. Witness RGB 'suddenly' discovering state's rights in Bush v. Gore dissent.

No, this is the kind of decision we fought for, we won for, and that the Constitution deserves. Alito send an unsubtle signal in this case for people who understand SCOTUS opinions ... he is damn mad about Roberts denying him a 4th to take Republican Party PA on cert; and Alito is also reminding Roberts that nothing is forever...

“The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a voting-rights challenge to Arizona’s election laws, ruling the state may discard legal ballots that are cast in the wrong precinct even if doing so results in throwing out a much higher percentage of votes cast by Latinos, Blacks and Native Americans than whites”

So the three libertards who voted no are saying it’s fine to be a knuckle dragging moron whom can’t figure out what precinct they live in to vote. That should be a disqualifier to vote at all. I guess the dead, and homeless have an excuse. Those with a mailing address not so much.

Never too late for the Left. And they always have standing.

I was at Home Depot the other day. The customer service worker was assisting a customer returning an item. Both black. The employee asked for an ID since she didn’t have a receipt. No one was offended nor felt racism was an issue. Why non. Because it’s ridiculous to assume so. Just as with voting.

They just had a news clip about Biden in Florida, saying he was a man “very familiar with loss.” I blurted out, “yeah he just lost the election.”

But no, he “won” the election, just like that building was a “luxury condominium tower.”

What’s it going to take for me to understand reality?
