Dumb argument Venomous and deadly reptiles are not protected by the Constitution.
Who ever owned the thing is a frigen moron, was it your snake ??
I had a friend in NC whose King Cobra got loose. He and his son ran to the house, where he was going to get his gear to recapture the critter. But his son beat him to the house and shut and locked the door.
He eventually caught the snake.

The way he’s handling those snakes in the Instagram shots shows he might not be around much longer anyway...
Nope.
Nope nope nope.
That’s a nope rope.
I like the Gaboon Viper.
“I have no problem whatsoever with anyone owning firearms and ammo...”
Nor do I, and it ought not matter, anyway, because it’s an enumerated Constitutional right.
“The 2nd Amendment is the protector of the Constitution...”
And it is not esteemed as such. That’s why we have all this blatant 2nd Amendment infringement all across the country at Federal, State, and even Municipal levels; the 2A is so obviously not revered...
“I DO have a problem with a teenager owning several venomous snakes in a crowded subdivision unbeknownst to the other residents...”
And your political enemies look at this very differently; they’re MORE likely to defend the kid for keeping this crazy dangerous snake, than to defend your unfettered exercise of your right under the Second Amendment.
Even what you might call “the more sane among them” who, like you, do not think that venomous snakes should be kept in the manner they were, see no distinction between crashing this kid’s case for keeping scary snakes, and crashing your case for having “scary” guns “in a crowded subdivision unbeknownst to the other residents.” If they thought there was a matter of Law at stake, they’d call the cops just as quickly.
What I’m getting to, here, is the reality that The Real Karens don’t give a tinker’s dam about the Constitutional difference between keeping dangerous, exotic animals — even in places where it’s not illegal, and keeping arms. So when your argument against these exotic pets SOUNDS so much like their argument against your guns, they feel like your argument validates theirs, and you’re just a hypocrite attacking one thing, while defending the other.
Sorry to rile you playing Advocatus Diaboli.
