I support “equity” taxes and surcharges in Minnesota, which hasn’t voted for a GOP presidential candidate (even the good ones) in my lifetime. They should be as large as possible.
I feel stupider for watching that.
The derelicts will wizz on the trees and kill them.
As absurd as things have gotten over the last year+ this piece takes into the stratosphere of absurdity.
I didn’t watch the video because I need to hang onto all my brain cells, but if the city is not planting trees on city-owned property in a certain area, is there anything stopping anyone from planting trees, shrubs and flowers on their own property? Maybe they don’t have have the money or want to spend the money on landscaping. If they are renters they are probably not going to make that investment.
Okay, here’s the issue. Say you produce content for clicks. It’s your job. Your market and target audience are the racially woke. But the marketplace is jam-packed with clickable race baiting material. Your problem is how to stand out in that crowd. Thinkthinkthink... The station manager should be horsewhipped for putting this crap on the air.
Young trees have about as much chance of surviving in a gang neighborhood as young kids.
This is the time after the census we see political redistricting in all 57 states. The sane folks in Minnesota should try and redistrict the Minneapolis area into Canada.
Don't ask me how they'll finagle it, but the woke crowd will find a way.
Next they will complain of “shade and hammock” inequity because there are no trees.
The jokes write themselves.
And the city I grew up in was pretty much all white.
So there might be something to this. It may just be that the city fathers know that the better trees will be better cared for in the rich neighborhoods because those houses are more likely to have gardeners.
