He thinks he’s running for Roy Blunt’s Senate seat, but he already proved he’s not a fighter by taking a plea bargain.
No sale.

He thinks he’s running for Roy Blunt’s Senate seat, but he already proved he’s not a fighter by taking a plea bargain. Ditto. When given the chance to stand on principles he folded.

I've experienced a criminal prosecution, took a plea deal and don't agree with you. Despite having evidence proving my innocence (a tape recording of the incident, call logs contraindicating statements made and text records showing the emotional state of the plaintiff) I caved. Multiple Attorneys told me I had a very strong case and afterwards I was told the Judge did not want to prosecute me. However, I was told that you can't predict a jury and I could lose. Was also told because of my career and assets the risk was to high. I think this couple was in the same position.
I do feel sorry for them, in a few months they will regret taking the deal for the rest of their life, I do. However, like me, they are innocent and people know it. In my case, it has not impacted my career, finances or social life any way. They will most likely have the same experience. The truth matters and people know it when they see it.

"but he already proved he’s not a fighter by taking a plea bargain"Juries are idiots, and the government has an unlimited supply of our money for prosecution. The government can win simply by outspending the innocent defendant.

He’s a manicured lawyer who lives in a small mansion in the city. Hardly representative of MO, regardless of the pics of him with a tractor for his campaign website. Articles back when the incident happened said they were both dems, now he claims he’s been a life long repub.
NOPE
I’m not 100% sold on Greiten either but I’d vote for him over this guy trying to take advantage of his 15 minutes of fame. Greiten seems to be putting effort into MAGA on America’s Voice and Bannon’s show. Not sure why he’s not trying to go for the governorship again. It was partially robbed from him but he was having an affair evidently. Divorced now and noticeably unable to stop grinning.
Glad we have closed primaries here, else dems would get us McCloskey.
I’m hoping there’s a third and better option for Blunt’s seat that just hasn’t gone public yet.

As an experienced tort/trial lawyer, he also knows the mentality of the likely jury pool, and that the same jurors who render million dollar verdicts for a broken finger, will think nothing of sending a rich white man to the pokey, regardless of the law or the facts.

any time you go to trial it is a crap shoot and is expensive. you can lose a criminal case and not be guilty of anything just the jury not liking you or comprehending the case...
