Gun-toting attorney Mark McCloskey has shown off his new rifle just two days after pleading guilty to misdemeanor charges and agreeing to surrender the weapon he pointed unarmed Black Lives Matter protesters.
‘Checking out my new AR,’ reads the caption. McCloskey is seen in the photos wearing a curt smile and brandishing the weapon with a finger just above the trigger. One photo also includes his wife Patricia giving a thumbs up.
The gun-toting St. Louis couple, both personal injury attorneys in their 60s, appeared in court Thursday where they admitted to a judge that their actions had put peaceful protesters at risk of serious injury.

Looking at people with freedoms and non barrister courts makes English people mad.
I love it.

I musta been misconfused. Ballbats, rocks, frozen water bottles, “walking sticks”, crow bars have no evil/criminal use.

She needs some basic instruction in fire arms handling.
I remember from the video she’s standing behind him at several points moving that pistol around behind his head.

Don’t know if your question is directed at me but they acted properly until they pleaded guilty. Guilty of defending their home? No fight in them and he wants to be a GOP Senator? He’s a Democrat.

He thinks he’s running for Roy Blunt’s Senate seat, but he already proved he’s not a fighter by taking a plea bargain. Ditto. When given the chance to stand on principles he folded.

It is a shame she gave up that Walther PPK/S.The way she was waving it around in the video, it's probably a good thing it was taken away.
Geez, what a cringe-worthy display of inept firearm handling.

I can understand taking a plea. If you fight it and lose, you’re screwed. A plea can usually mean ownership, voting, and so on after some time passes.

I've experienced a criminal prosecution, took a plea deal and don't agree with you. Despite having evidence proving my innocence (a tape recording of the incident, call logs contraindicating statements made and text records showing the emotional state of the plaintiff) I caved. Multiple Attorneys told me I had a very strong case and afterwards I was told the Judge did not want to prosecute me. However, I was told that you can't predict a jury and I could lose. Was also told because of my career and assets the risk was to high. I think this couple was in the same position.
I do feel sorry for them, in a few months they will regret taking the deal for the rest of their life, I do. However, like me, they are innocent and people know it. In my case, it has not impacted my career, finances or social life any way. They will most likely have the same experience. The truth matters and people know it when they see it.

It’s not exactly an accurate headline
The court kept the guns they had already used in a misdemeanor
Granted the misdemeanor was bullshit
But cops keeping guns after a misdemeanor is normal if those guns are parcel to the misdemeanor
If you have a car crash and are ambulatory....cops take your weapons ...they give them back but only after they run them

I think her pistol was ID’d as a Bryco Arms pistol. Caliber unknown to my search so far.

"but he already proved he’s not a fighter by taking a plea bargain"Juries are idiots, and the government has an unlimited supply of our money for prosecution. The government can win simply by outspending the innocent defendant.

Yep. Just as Ip said in the
previous post with Freepers crying that they did this. I thought it was a brilliant move. If they fought a jury trial, they could have been labeled felons and would never get guns! Personally I would have gone for a Tavor TS-12. Nothing says kiss my @ss like a shotgun! The AR rounds are getting harder to find.
