Today @POTUS will sign the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act, establishing June 19th as a federal holiday. As the 19th falls on a Saturday, most federal employees will observe the holiday tomorrow, June 18th.

This is to condition us for the forthcoming reparations. There are already enough White Guilt events: MLK day, black history month, kwanzaa, indigenous people day. We don’t need any more.

I know a former New York State employee that quit her job saying, “I am embarrassed to know and see what constitutes a “work day” in the state office buildings!”
The only discussions were what music to listen to!
It was like a “no show job,” that they had to show up for, punch in and punch out with no accomplishments in between.
Multiply that times 50 and see who the real welfare recipients are.
I refer to government jobs as, mostly, “white collar welfare.”
NY state workers I know say there is typically 10 different papers in the rest rooms where they sit for hours reading. Nobody even cares.
If all Federal Employees are off tomorrow, traffic to Internet Porn Sites will be way down.

It’s great that we’re celebrating the end of slavery, but this is another Holiday that will increase racial tension and play into the Dems hands.
Conservatives MUST push for a national holiday, and for national monuments, that commemorate the victims of Communism. This will awaken younger americans to the evils of the left. Why are we not pushing for this? We spent nearly 100 years fighting communism! Seems like an uncontroversial position for conservatives to take and it would reap dividends for generations.

Caesar Chavez Day. The city of Tucson takes it off. It’s not a federal holiday though.
Yes. We already have a National Independence Day.
As I’ve said before, I have no problem with Juneteenth. I think it’s important to celebrate all American victories in the cause of Freedom.
We’ve never really had a holiday to celebrate Emancipation; and we have a couple of very poorly-educated generations today. It’s probably been enlightening to some of them to learn how Emancipation actually spread across the Nation.
(I guess the fact that it was mostly - vastly! - White Men and Republicans who pulled it off wouldn’t be exactly politic to mention in today’s atmosphere...)
The next national holiday I’d like to see is in celebration of June 6, 1944. There haven’t been many times in human history when so many exhibited so much valor, courage and faith, as the men - many of them extremely YOUNG men - who stormed those beaches did.
