NEW JERSEY — New Jersey was named the "Best State to Live in for 2021," according to one new study.
WalletHub compared all 50 states across 52 key indicators of livability that range from housing costs and income growth to education rate and quality of hospitals. Based on those factors, the Garden State came out on top.
New Jersey's living conditions ranked fairly well, especially amid the coronavirus pandemic. Here is the breakdown with 1 as the best and 25 as average:
7th – % of Population in Poverty 24th – % of Insured Population 18th – % of Adults in Fair or Poor Health 18th – Avg. Weekly Work Hours 7th – Restaurants per Capita The only category New Jersey didn't rank so well in was WalletHub's "States that are Recovering the Quickest from COVID-19." In that category, New Jersey came in 30th. As of Tuesday, New Jersey has administered 9.2 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and 4.6 million residents are fully vaccinated.
Here are the top 10 states on WalletHub's ranking:
1. New Jersey
2. Massachusetts
3. New York
4. Idaho
5. Minnesota
6. Wisconsin
7. Utah
8. New Hampshire
9. Iowa
10. Pennsylvania
The news of New Jersey's high rank was embraced by Gov. Phil Murphy. "You know it. I know it. All nine million of us who call this state home know it," he tweeted. "New Jersey is #1. And with our historic investments in education, health care, and our communities, we're going to keep building a stronger and fairer state – together."
Uh…yeah, right…

Seriously, who compiled this list? It is an absolute joke.
No percentages regarding: “States with shitholes like Newark”
Not buying it, sorry.

"The good news is that Boston was named the most livable city in the USA. The bad news is that #2 was ... Pittsburg"
RE: The bad news is that #2 was ... Pittsburg
Any source that can’t spell Pittsburgh correctly has no credibility.
Wouldn’t stop to take a dump in the top 3.
Was this study produced by the Bee or by the Sopranos?
If you can stand the smell......
and Jersey City, Camden, Paterson, Trenton and some smaller bergs like Plainfield.
Leave me alone.
Excellent Alexis.
Don’t come to Florida. We will eat you.
Was that a little strong?

Well, I have traveled East, and I have traveled West.
And, I hope to travel some more.
BUT I will NEVER, EVER, LIVE IN NEW JERSEY!
There are some good people there, and I am married to one, but NJ has some VERY SERIOUS PROBLEMS:
1. AWFUL GOVERNOR!
2. HIGH TAXES!
3. NO RESPECT FOR THE SECOND AMENDMENT!
I rest my case!
This is The Onion, right?
Insane. I wouldn’t live in a blue state for anything. If GA does not come around next election, we’re out of here too.
Utter BS!
Still More loonie #ComDem_Insanity!
