Have any of these news anchors or anyone else for that matter, brought up the DA in San Francisco and his policies toward crime?
Have any of them brought up the hand that Soros plays in getting these people elected?
The people of San Francisco elected a Soros backed, radical Leftist, whose parents blew up buildings, and stated that he not going to prosecute certain crimes. In effect de-criminalizing them.
Put, at least, some of the blame where it belongs, the liberal, Leftist voters.

It must suck to be so conflicted with self-loathing that you can excuse behavior that is sinful and illegal under the laws and norms of society.
There is a backlash against this crap coming. When the businesses close because they cannot make any money the residents will reconsider their views on societal norms.

California now has a no prosecution law that excuses theft of anything under $950.
Read an interesting fictional future-history book called "Prayers for the Assassin" which had this as it's background premise. Basically, in a not too distant future, with society breaking down, the northern part of the US becomes an Islamic Republic, partly in search of countering the breakdown of society.

After suffering huge losses due to theft of black hair products, many stores had begun locking them up with other high theft items. Then they were shamed into leaving them out to steal. The left should be defending this thief vigorously, as they fought for his right to steal these products. THIS is what they wanted.
