Occam’s razor says it’s divorce, over charged card, some late revolving account...or some government agency at some level, from IRS, DOJ all the way down to the local county tax collector.

I am personally familiar with multiple conservative public figures who have had their bank accounts closed simply because of their political opinions and for no other reason.
If you have never heard of this then all that means is that there are things you've never heard of.

I agree... There is more to this. As much as I hate banks and hope this is true so that they can be chastised... There may be some exaggeration here with what truly happened. Probably the writer of the article.
As a businessman a couple keywords come into play here. “Travel... Card... Account frozen.” Had it happen to a lot of my customers when they tried to pay me.
Who hasn’t had this happen to them because of strange new banking activity in another state on while on vacation? One phone call to tell them it is actually you and it is back on.
And the resident troll appears to normalize mistreatment of conservatives again.
No this has happened to multiple conservatives, friends of Trump and other conservatives activists.
