Wells Fargo has shut down the bank account of America First activist Lauren Witzke, leaving her stranded out of state with completely no money.
In a post on Telegram, Witzke, who ran as the Republican candidate for the Senate in Delaware in the 2020 elections, revealed that Wells Fargo had completely shut down her bank account, removing all of her money from the system, leaving her with a “zero balance” instead. In a call with the bank, Witzke was informed that the action taken was a purely “business decision,” and that they have the right to close her account down at any time. “Had I not been surrounded by friends in Florida, I would be completely stranded,” she wrote, as she would be stuck out of state with absolutely no money at all.
The lack of explanation from Wells Fargo as to why they closed down Witzke’s bank account opens questions as to why the decision was taken to begin with, and if it had anything to do with her Christian conservative politics. Witzke is a current presenter with TruNews, a Christian broadcast network, and has stood up for America First policies, including joining with fellow conservative activists Nick Fuentes, Laura Loomer, and Michelle Malkin, to push for a greater crackdown on Big Tech in Florida. She had been removed from Twitter after calling out a transgender activist for saying that little girls are “kinky.”

So, a baker can be forced to back a freaking cake, but a financial institution can completely screw over someone’s finances without any warning whatsoever?
Hmmm....
This was an —existing— account that got closed by the bank.
See post 100. She's a nut, and apparently a grifter.
It was a tremendous learning experience. What I saw going thru the records so a case could be built was frightening.
what does this mean?
I call up the credit union and tell them my travel plans and not to shut off my card; I will be going 1400 miles and don’t want to get stranded.
If you have a Wells Fargo account close it.
It means what goes on in banking, how loans were generated and to whom was very scary. As an example, borrower takes out a $10M loan. Defaults. He takes bank directors on an expensive hunting trip and gets another $10M loan. Defaults again.
FDIC insures losses up to X amount. In 1988 they lost a net $4.2 billion due to all the bank failures that had been occurring.
I suggested a few years ago that a group should buy a bank for sale and rename it -—— 2nd AMENDMENT BANK. There would be millions of instant customers.
Yes. I wrote about that in the second paragraph.
This is grand theft. Among other things.
Unless they cut a check to her and mailed it, or transferred it to some other account of hers, they committed grand theft, and most likely some form breach of contract.
She needs to get to a Wells Fargo bank wherever she is, and bring several sheriff deputies withnher, and get her momey back on the spot.
Our bank pulled that “Let us know when you travel” crap.
I told the rep that I didn’t feel like I needed my mommy’s permission to travel.
I understand when traveling abroad, as that would be very unusual.
But otherwise I don’t like them keeping tabs on where I’m going and for how long. It’s not their business, plain and simple.
Just read a story wothin the last couple weeks that banks are now more full of paper money than they know what to do with. Probably either here or on rense, the only two clearinghouses of stories I go to.
Absolutely true... But is it possible the author of the article, or the victim themselves used the term “closed” when “frozen” due to strange activity was actually the case? Leftists are not the only ones who sometimes exaggerate situations to fit a political agenda. I see it a lot from both sides.
I honestly hope they did actually close the account for political reasons because it will get great coverage of what idiots they are. But I would also not appreciate being hoodwinked by deceptive terminology and blown out of proportion if it was not the actual full story of case either. :)
Like others... I am not sure we are getting the full story...
I’m not so bad . . . once ya get to know me.
This is why you carry an American Express card. LOL
It's been Fascism for some time now, it's just been soft. Now they're going to get more aggressive. If allowed by We The People, they will go full on Nazi. Mark me.
“I have a step-cousin who actually quit W-F when they were making bogus accounts for customers in order to make more money. She refused to go along, to the extent that when one higher manager demanded she do so, she basically shut her office door in his face. She quit shortly afterward.”
Good for her. I hope she landed on her feet. It’s heartwarming to hear a story about someone putting ethical principles above a paycheck.
“I have made a practice in the past when traveling and spending a lot to first tell my local bank I am doing so.”
We do the same. And one of the (few) advantages of dealing with a mega-bank like Wells Fargo is that if there is a problem with your account while travelling, you can ususally find a local branch and make an in-person visit.
From the bank that made up millions of fake accounts. Beautiful just Effen beautiful
This goes on everywhere. We were called in to bid a large well known and well respected business for a mis system.
The engineer came in and said don’t spend much time on the account. He had looked at their Financials. They were sinking
Next thing son of owner gets a government backed loan to buy the company from parents. Big dollars go to mom and dad.
Son bankrupts within the year. The family money is intact and so is the inheritance.
Did I mention that dad son and financial people in government went to same schools?
