the problem with mock trials such as us v oswald (bugliosi et al) (~1986) is that the evidence is limited to only that which is available at the time of the mock trial. there is no subpoena power in a mock trial, and hence any result is in a sense fruit of a poisoned tree — not a substitute for a real trial. do not speak ill of the dead. the dead are unable to defend themselves in a court of law and in the court of public opinion. this is the legacy of ruby and whoever was behind him. patsies are the most unfortunate of people because thanks to average intelligence of the general public patsies are worth much more dead than alive, and the best type of patsy is one who dies before his case becomes tainted by inconvenient investigations and the trial process.
so we are all left with the illusion of oswald’s guilt since this is the USA and in the USA we have legal guarantees. those guarantees were never extended to oswald. he was beat up by the police, interrogated by a defense lawyer, paraded around by police for tv for a while, and then shot to death by a mafia guy while in police custody. a political commission (not a jury of peers) declares oswald guilty. the gullible and the stupid among us start proclaiming oswald is guilty. examples may be found on this thread. the gullible and stupid among us are actually sanctioning murder followed by ersatz trials (a political commission and a mock trial) as a substitute for a jury trial.
Yep, and just to add insult to injury, a person who should have been considered a suspect - Former CIA head Allen Dulles who was fired by JFK, was part of the Commission that declared Oswald to be the lone-gunman.
