Former Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen, have put their Washington, DC, days behind them and are living in a $1.93 million Indiana home they purchased last month.
Property records reveal that Pence, 62, bought a seven-bedroom, 7½-bathroom house in the upscale location of Carmel — known as the luxury pinnacle in his state of Indiana.
And it appears he offered more than the asking price, as it was initially listed for $1.8 million.
The home was first listed on April 1 and the former VP placed an offer a week later. The sale closed on May 25.

Bernie got three houses out of his deal.
$2M is no longer considered a crazy amount of money for a home. Being a former VP and state governor he has to consider a placce that provides privacy and security. And he will no doubt use the extra rooms for connected guests to drop in from around the world.
It’s popular to kick him for not standing up on Jan 6, but all we had then was the sniff of fraud without tangible proof, and he simply passed the electors that the states handed to him.
Mike Pence has some kind of notion that he is a leading candidate for nomination to the office of President in 2024 on the Republican ticket. Sometimes you are the windshield, and sometimes you are the bug.
The role of windshield has been pre-empted by someone else already.
Plenty of proof at the time.
Not bad for one swim around the swamp. Mike knows a good thing when he sees it. Back to Indiana, then back to DC as senator, then the McConnell/Uniparty gravy train for decades. Count on him to “grow” politically and financially. It happens EVERY time.
Wow
30 pieces of silver
goes a long ways now days.
If you really believe that, you should be ashamed!
That’s a lot of money to buy a bunch of air and wood.
Don’t mind the land, however.
I have my dream home sketched on a piece of paper. It’s about 3000 sq feet and every room has a purpose. There is no fancy amenities to my dream home.
I really don’t get the desire for 10,0000 sqft homes, though I don’t care if somebody wants one. I just don’t get it.
These homes for politicians are also impromptu campaign head quarters, should he decide to run for office again.
Enjoy your silver, Judas…
If Pence worked for BLM, he could have gotten a bigger house.
“Being a former VP and state governor he has to consider a placce that provides privacy and security. “
I guess all the Little People don’t need any of that privacy and security stuff.
Treason pays well apparently.
2 people, 7 1/2 bathrooms.....now we all know what he is full of.....
How does a person who has spent all but five years of his working career as a professional politician living off the public dole acquire enough wealth to purchase, furnish, and maintain a $1,93 house (10,000+ sf on five acres). Pence’s wife was a school teacher and neither Pence nor his wife came from wealthy families.
Yes.
Yes.
