My wife's 96 year old uncle died in February. We were the only one to take care of him. After he died his 1,400 stimulus came in the mail. We checked the box for "recipient deceased" and put it in a mail box. A few days later it came in the mail again. We then took it the local post office explained the situation and the lady told us "don't worry Ill take car of it." Well....the very next day it was delivered again! After that we just put the check through our paper shredder.

Halfway through the article the “payment” changes to a tax credit. Then back to stimulus checks.

My wife and I live very close to our 4 grandsons, who are over at our house pretty much every day. I could use a handout to pay for the food we go through. At least with cicadas, after they clean you out they leave you alone for 16 years.....

It’s my understanding that this is an option for families receiving the child care tax credit.

That credit has been raised to $3,600 for 2021. And families have the option of taking that credit as monthly payments rather than receiving the $3,600 as one big check.

I’m not about to wade thru IRS tax documents to discover the particulars because I’m too lazy.
