ORLANDO, Fla. — A 12-year-old boy accused of joining a 14-year-old girl in a shootout with an assault weapon and shotgun against Florida deputies from a home they had broken into earlier this week will be held for 21 days at a secure detention facility pending a hearing, a judge ordered Thursday.

Parents fail their children when they don't provide a loving home with a male and a female as parents. There is a definite failure here somewhere. The boy and girl ran away from a group home.

Yup. I noticed the article had two authors (MIKE SCHNEIDER and FREIDA FRISARO) and they still screwed up the title.

I am 100% for death penalty for any teenagers who go about murdering other human beings.

Pre teen, in the boy’s case. 12 year olds can be stupid too.
If you are 12 and you are shooting innocent people dead, the minimum should be real life imprisonment.

I think authors don’t write titles.
Given that perhaps 75% of “readers” read the title, but nothing in the article, the authorship of titles is too important to leave to the article authors.
That’s the job of the news editorial boards, who really do the agend.... er, I mean job for the news organization owner (one of the handful that really run AP/rooters/etc).

I swear some of the people I work with are just idiots.
One fellow employee thinks the owner of the weapon should be charged with aiding and abetting because they didn’t have the weapon in a safe. Never mind the fact they had to do a B&E to get it.

I’ve done all kinds of things with girls.
Haven’t shot a cop with one though. Sounds hard to do.
