My stellar military career consisted of 6 years (active and Reserves) with no pension at the end. OTOH it's my understanding that all retired members of the Armed Forces who are receiving a pension are under the ultimate command of the Commander-In-Chief and are suject to recall at his/her/it's wish. So if I'm correct then General Flynn could be recalled to active duty and could be court martialed.

Inactive = gadfly for the “coup regime”. Take a chance that brought back as active status General he could become the leader of the counter coup they fear even if his recalled position in the hierarchy does not include a direct command position.

I suspect that after a few months with their “woke Political” officers and training in LGBT sensitivity and Critical Race Theory training troops be in more of a mood to support a counter coup.
