Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina made an eloquent, uplifting speech on behalf of Republicans, in response to Joe Biden's quasi–State of the union address.
He spoke of racial grievances, real ones, including a recent instance when the Washington Post's bigfoot fact-checker Glenn Kessler attempted to debunk Scott's impoverished background in the Jim Crow South as somehow "privileged," with revolting claims that Scott "had it easy," which was beyond horsehockey. Scott left egg all over Kessler's face.
Scott spoke kindly of single mothers, such as his own. He spoke of his own failures and successes, and he blasted Biden for his divisive diktats in his first 100 days, pointing out the many occasions when Republicans cooperated with Democrats and their big spending plans. He defended Georgia's vote integrity law and focused on re-opening schools, putting the blame where it belonged: on greedy teachers' unions. He radiated honesty and sincerity, which stood in stark contrast to fraudy, mendacious Joe, who came off like the banjo-player in Deliverance as he spoke.
It was a well received speech, based on pundit after-talk on the nets. The transcript can be read here.
That didn't sit well with the left, which, true to form, reverted to their roots, put on their white hoods, and hurled nakedly racist insults at Scott as if to shame him for attempting to find common ground with Democrats and speak truth to power.

Various talk radio hosts said today that Scott’s speech was excellent. Some talked about the Scott speech more than Biden’s speech.
It’s a bit early to talk of presidential aspirations here.
Then again, I know that Tim Scott is too liberal for many here.

Scott does not appear to be a “political hustler” like Steele who went over to the “Democrats’ Dark Side” in a snit.
The attacks on him are perfect examples of the Marxist/black racist Left and who they really are and what they actually stand for/promote/live - pure unadulterated Marxist hatred of true Americans.
Fwiw, short after I retired from the Army I was asked to do some personal security work by a celebrity, who I had met & was well acquainted with, from my time in CA.
(I was NOT his friend.)
Needing the money, I quoted a price per day that I did not believe that would be accepted but it was accepted. = I spent about 20 months working for him full-time & for years after, I worked for him on a part-time basis.
I said all that to tell you this: The CA HOLLYWEIRD “celebrity circus” & their “friends” on the RADICAL LEFT are a CLOWN CAR, filled with CROOKS, HYPOCRITES, CREEPS, sanctimonious FOOLS & OUTIGHT BIGOTS/RACISTS.
(When the celebrities/LEFTISTS are “among themselves”, they say things in private that would make a committed KKK-IDIOT ashamed/embarrassed. = I, MANY TIMES, heard my clients associates/friends call people “the N-WORD” and/or “DIRTY JEW” and/or “LAZY SPIC” & say any number of other DISGUSTING things about other people, to include people who they supposedly were “close friends” with.)
After several years, I decided that I would rather be POOR & RECOVER/RETAIN my SELF-RESPECT than be close to such SWINE, on even an occasional basis & NO matter how high that the pay was..

Scott is not the answer. He would have no shot nor would the other McConnell clowns. Maybe good for VP but that’s it but I thought that about Pence and look how worthless he was. Bottom line we don’t need assistant Democrats or RINOs to bounce back off the mat.
