You’re correct. And part of the problem is they are trying to group a whole bunch of weapons together under the same designation as if it was up to them, there wouldn’t be any public owned weapons as all. But that effort would get them out of office rapidly as they’ll never sell that one and it doesn’t match the Constitution. I’ve got to give them credit for that one.

But they’d try it if they could. You would have to say adding semiautomatic weapons to a bill for automatic ones is treated like pork. And they have been doing that for a century.
