Putin Warns West Against Crossing 'Red Line' with Russia

President Vladimir Putin warned foreign rivals on Wednesday against "crossing the red line" with Russia, as he gave a key speech amid deep tensions with the West over Ukraine and jailed Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny.

Several thousand of Navalny's supporters took to the streets in nationwide demonstrations against his detention, but the protests were not on the scale seen earlier this year, when tens of thousands rallied and thousands were arrested.

Addressing lawmakers and senior officials in his annual state of the nation address, Putin said Russia would respond swiftly and harshly to moves against its interests and condemned what he said had been a coup attempt in ally Belarus.

Point me to any post I have made in the 23 years I’ve been
here that justifies that lame response.

The Poles will fight the Russians before the Americans, they’ll move if the Russians cross the Dnieper.

Don't think so, not without the Americans in front of them.

I just think if foreign parties stay out of it, Ukraine and Russia can work out s aolution between them. Once you get foreign powers involved, it changes the whole dynamic.

Biden better not be responsible for an assassination attempt in Belarus.

Biden's not Responsible, but he IS the Patsy.

NATO serves our purposes more than most folks realize.

Do we really want Europe to develop their own military that
would be run by the E. U. and the U. N.?

Neither of those two entities have a lick of sense, and
sooner or later they would turn to oppose us, with a world
class military at their disposal.

Germany would be the major player in the administration of
that military.

Yes the E. U. / our NATO partners leave a lot to be desired,
but I do not see it to our advantage to just wash our hands.

Those two entities despise Israel. Imagine the U. N. using
the E. U.’s military as enforcers in Israel.

That would be a major headache, and if we had a crew like
we have in there now, it would be a total disaster.

I was responding to this.

“Hopefully NATO collapses into a laughing stock.”

That would leave Europe wide open > IMO.

At the least it would give certain players the idea that
they might have a reasoned opening.

I adamantly disagree both with the premise and its associated projections.

I always thought NATO was as much to protect Europe from the Germans as it was the Russians.

Fighting Russia on it’s own ground is beyond foolhardy. They would have air superiority if not supremacy in the Ukraine. And an Army with actual veterans in it.

But these are DemonRATs here and wisdom or even sanity are not to be expected.

I believe it was initially, but Germany became a member long
ago.

The way some NATO leaders spout off against the U. S., I
don’t believe we are the tight knit group some folks may
take for granted.

If the E. U. were to develop a strong unified military, I
have no doubt it would try to challenge the U. S. take on
things often.

No, F Biden, F Obama, F Deep State.

We need to stop fomenting revolutions and trying to assassinate leaders in nations that are no threat to us.

I think the EU would fall apart if they tried it, Tribalism hasn’t been completed eliminated in Europe.

Europe’s biggest problem will be all the Fifth-Columnist Muslims living there, who will await their orders from Erdogan.

I do recognize a component of that going on. In fact, it shocks
me that anything like a E. U. could exist there, but it
does.

Germany seems to dominate the E. U., so whatever effort they
push for together, it would seem Germany would have a good
shot of being in the driver’s seat.

Others will probably disagree with me. Mine isn’t the only
opinion on this out there I am sure.

What Germany couldn’t do with two world wars it has done now. The EU is basically the German Union.

Once all the Germans were warlike and mean,
But that couldn’t happen again.
We taught them a lesson in 1918
And they’ve hardly bothered us since then.

Mine either. IMHO the Globalist powers that control the US Govt keep trying to push us into conflict with Russia, when it is china that is the planetary source of evil.
