Russia is planning an attack on Ukraine in a bid to secure water supply facilities, according to a report.
Four Russian Ropucha class ships have gathered in the Black Sea, joining more than 15 other warships, in preparation for an attack, The Mirror reported, citing ‘military sources’.
The report comes amid rising tensions between Russia and Ukraine as Russia has amassed more than 150,000 troops along the Ukrainian border and in the annexed Crimean peninsula.
‘Ukrainian military take these ships very seriously.
‘We estimate one of the Russian scenarios could be an amphibious and air assault from occupied Crimea to seize water supply facilities in south Ukraine to provide water to Crimea,’ a senior Ukrainian military source told The Mirror.

The newspaper reported sources as saying the ‘most likely’ attack plan would be a maritime and land assault on southern Ukraine from Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014.
Poor weather may have delayed any potential land attack by several weeks.

The extra troops and equipment are a hedge against Ukraine trying to stop them.
Ukraine could save itself a lot of trouble by restoring the water supply to Crimea.
Doubtful. Russia is looking to pull the old Soviet Bloc back together and is willing to use overwhelming force to do so.
Still, it’s not our concern. We have our own problems to deal with here at home. We’ve played too much world police already and it’s cost us a fortune in lives and money. Invest in America. Let Ukraine worry about Ukraine.

There is absolutely no reason to believe Putin and Russia are going to takeover countries or regions of them where they aren't welcome. None. It's not the Soviet Union anymore.
We're the ones that helped create the civil war in Ukraine by pushing the Ukrainian revolution. Crimea and Donbass are pro-Russian. Of course, they were going to try to seek independence or join Russia. If we had kept our noses out it, a civil war could have been avoided.
But, the goal of globalists to overthrow Putin.
So if southern Texas towns want to join Mexico and Mexico rolls troops across our border to seize control of those towns, you’re okay with that?
I believe sovereign nations have the right to sovereign borders. Use of military force should be restricted to very specific circumstances. Ukraine and Georgia have been invaded and part of their sovereign territory is under foreign occupation. Russia should be subject to international isolation and economic consequences until they stop behaving like a belligerent empire.
