President Joe Biden reacted to the death of Vice President Walter Mondale by remembering him as a “dear friend and mentor” who gave him trusted guidance throughout his political career.
In a statement released after Mondale’s death, Biden said he and First Lady Jill Biden spoke to the former vice president and his family over the weekend.

Mondale at the convention where he was nominated as the dem’s prez candidate, looked down at the convention floor from in the DNC’s booth and, not realizing there was a hot mic, blurted out, ‘Look at ‘em! Cheering and we are gonna tax the Hell out of ‘em!’
Maybe that is who Biden learned his idiocy from.

With Biden had there been no massive voter fraud machine, that he bragged about before the election, they would have been alike in one more way.
On our local radio news this morning, they made 2 comments about Biden and Mondale, as if they were very “close”. I think it is BS just to make it out like Biden has any awareness of current events....

Well, that's a start. At least it proves that Biden is still alive... maybe?
Why - oh why? - would Biden have spoken to Mondale this weekend? Mondale is an eighties relic who was last heard from when he stood in for the late Paul Wellstone. And he pimped his daughter out to Bill Clinton.

Mondale was an authentic liberal. Back then, Joe Biden was fighting school busing and making public comments that most people today would think was racist. So maybe they were buddy-buddy in the senate cloakroom — all one big happy Democrat family. But I suspect they didn’t agree on very much.
We can only hope they will be reunited soon.
I wonder if Biden, et al. will show up and turn the funeral into another Wellstone memorial.
