White House chief medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said Monday it is “disturbing” that some Americans won’t take a Covid-19 vaccine due to political reasons.
Fauci said those refusing to get vaccinated against the virus are the same ones who say the U.S. government is “encroaching on our liberties” by asking Americans to wear masks and implement other pandemic safety measures. He said the “easiest” way to get out of the pandemic is to get a vaccine.

Before it was a couple weeks. Then it was a couple months. Then it was a year. Now it’s 2-3 years away?
Why does the date when all these people are going to die keep changing?
Is it because we keep passing those other dates and the predictions don’t come true? Why not say 10 years and then you don’t have to change the predictions for a while.
Politics have nothing to do with my decision not to be vaccinated. I would be refusing if Trump were still president. I don’t trust the shots.

I have always said it is a slow kill.

It’s disturbing that this man who led the AIDS cure search, spending 50 times more money on that than is spent on cancer cure research, is still in charge of anything. People I know who have worked with him say he is a fraud and an idiot.

I’ve done plenty of research, including the 2012 paper which said nothing about it being impossible to create a working vaccine against SARS-CoV. What it said was that there was a potential risk that should be examined. I’ve read the actual paper; not someone else’s claims made based on misunderstanding it.
Antibody dependent enhancement is rare and only occurs under specific circumstances. Further, it’s far more likely for it to happen with a COVID-19 infection than it is with a vaccine, if it were to happen at all. But again, it’s extremely rare. Specific pathogens inspire it because of the structure of their antigens. The S protein on SARS-CoV-2 poses virtually no risk of ADE.
Finally, trials with the COVID-19 vaccines have been ongoing for over a year with zero evidence of any ADE. Not with any other coronavirus and not with any variant of SARS-CoV-2. No evidence in over a year of trial data (first doses given March 16, 2020). If this were going to happen, we’d have almost certainly witnessed it by now. 894 million shots given globally. 209 million shots given in the US alone. No significant issues.
