Just in time for Biden to flood the country with new Democrat voters.

Let California decide all future elections, NOT.

Not sure I buy it. Without the EC I simply don’t see how Republicans can win. Just as important, the EC ensures that the votes of certain smaller states count. If it was just the popular vote, there would be a number of states that would never see any national-level politician showing any interest in them.

At the very least this is something that requires VERY careful consideration.

As for the Texas turning Blue, several wise FReepers have warned about this for years. People fleeing California’s inane and insane policies for the freedom promised by Texas, but unfortunately bringing with them the same vapid beliefs that ruined their former home state.

Republicans need to fight to win 2022 mid terms, to win 2024 elections, and to have stratagems in place to win for the next 16 years.

A short game and a long game.

Because the Dems are playing a long game! Don’t believe me? Talk to your pre-teen/teen/early twenty kids and judge for yourself where they fall on the political spectrum. Watch TV, if you dare, and see the programming therein. Even the cartoons! Pick up an Archie comic, or a Captain America comic, and see what’s there. Turn to MTV and watch five of the music videos and judge the content and lyrics.

There’s a battle for the soul of America.

THE LEFT'S AGIT PROP IS STRONG HERE----As Democrats cement their stranglehold on power, look for more and more Republicans to sign on to the Left's National Popular Vote Interstate Compact already enacted into law by 16 Democrat blue states.......it’s also gaining traction in red states like Arkansas, Missouri, and Tennessee.

REALITY CHECK The power-crazed Lefty mob wants to convince Republicans' the Compact will (cough) "open the playing field to beat Democrats" by forcing them to defend their noxious ideas all over the map instead of just a few places.

Sure it will (/S).

Anyone who cites the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact as an example of how to implement a “national popular vote” is a moron.

The NPV compact is completely unenforceable between the states that sign it. Any state can unilaterally withdraw from it for any reason at all. If the NPV compact had been in place in 2020 and Trump had won the popular vote by a narrow margin while losing California, you can be damn sure the California legislature would have passed a bill to withdraw from the Compact immediately after Election Day, and it would have been signed by the governor long before the Electoral College vote in December.

All you would need is for one state to go “fraudulent” and claim large numbers of people who did not actually vote as having voted “their” way, which over whelms the other states’s votes enough to win.

No, when states cannot be trusted with their own elections being done correctly, fairly, and legally, you need a healthy system in place to prevent the abuse from going too far.

Morefield, are you insane???

It’s bad enough with the rise of the city-states and their propensity to vote for Santa Claus.
