BBC coverage of Prince Philip's funeral services.
Sorry for the typo in the title, Admin Mod please correct if you can. Thanks.
Yawn
Thanks, I am impress that Her Majesty walks without a cane and she is 95.
She has led an exemplary life despite all the drama that has gone on around her.
Yes, exactly. Whatever...
Of particular interest to Orthodox Christians:

This is part of the Burial Office in the Anglican tradition.
And it was Prince Philip who planned his own funeral and the Queen approved before he died. Couple interesting facts....the Jeep his Coffin was carried in Prince Phillip designed himself....and the Horse and Buggy was there, with his gloves, blanket and cup laying in the seat was because he use to race.
It was truly a perfect funeral service which reflected Prince Phillips taste and what he wanted. I got pretty tearful when they showed all the military with their heads bowed very low and their guns positioned downward...it was very fitting for Price Phillip....a remarkable man who served Britain and the Military well.

This thread takes me back to watching the Charles/Diana wedding on a black and white TV sitting in the kitchen with two British guys that stayed with us for a couple of days.
One was a mesmerized puppy dog watching it and the other was saying, “Oh, bloody hell this makes me want to Welch”,
I think the most enduring image will be the Queen of England, sitting alone in a pew with a black dress and black facemask ...
wasn’t it Peter Phillips who walked between Harry and
William in procession - and a converted Range Rover that Prince Philip converted to a hearse?
He was and saw action in the Royal Navy in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and the Pacific during WWII. Loved the Naval tradition of him being piped aboard and the Navy Hymn during the service. He loved the RN and the Sea.
She is the ONLY surviving World Leader that served in WW II.
“Yawn”
My Dad was Irish Catholic and many times I’d hear him talk of peeing on the Queen’s grave. Now that the old man is buried, I’d like to shout out:
Hey Dad, there’s another gave for you to pee on.
To spare you the 4 hour watch:
Everybody is properly masked! Black masks!
I would imagine, they are all vaccinated?!
GB has supposedly one of the highest levels of vaccination on Earth.
I think, I would stop here, or I commit “Lese-Majeste”.
Not the biggest fan of the monarchy, but I will shed a tear when the Queen passes, one of the last holdouts of true Western Civilization as we knew it.
exactly right!
