Adjudicated mentally unfit is also needed. I’m really wary of red flag laws. To me if someone is too messed up to have a gun they probably shouldn’t be on the streets at all. You’ll still have first timers like this get through the cracks though, no matter what.

Rudy Giuliani did that exact thing with the Squeegee Men when he turned around NYC. Of course, the liberals were angry, went to court and reversed his policy. NYC started to decline after he left and, as we all know, is in its death spiral now.
How messed up does a family member need to be if you are calling the cops to warn them.
I don’t know about the average family out there, but it would need to be real bad for me to rat out a relative.

WTHR in Indianapolis has a rundown on him. He tried to commit suicide and had a shotgun a while back. He was taken by police to a mental health facility. He should have been barred from purchasing firearms.
