Hours before city officials plan to release video of a police officer shooting 13-year old Adam Toledo, Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Thursday asked Chicago residents to withhold judgment and again called for peace. The mayor choked back tears as she discussed the city’s endemic gun violence, saying, “We can’t have that be what young people experience in our city.” “Simply put, we failed Adam,” she said during a City Hall news conference. Lightfoot recounted how, two weeks ago, “a tragedy occurred that left a child dead, a mother in mourning and a family in crisis.” “I have seen those videos and let me just say they are incredibly difficult to watch, particularly at the end,” Lightfoot said.

Newark Airport was the big turnoff for many people working in NJ or Philly and even NY.
Companies with home offices in Philly and the area around Newark lost a lot of people after they landed at Newark and had to get to their new office.
I’m reserving comment on fault related to this shooting for the future.
But, that said, I despise Lori Lightfoot’s instant judgment and lefty thought of this TRAGIC situation! This kind of a shooting is going to continue as long as dumbass LEFTIES permit it and encourage it by blaming the cops instead of 58 years of Lefty policies.
For God’s sake, The ONLY way this BS is going to STOP is, IN THE ABSENCE OF FATHERS, locking up parents, or guardians or babysitters who let a 13 year old kid out of his home after a certain hour at night..............SAY 8:00 pm!
Better yet! Bring back the whipping post! 100 lashes enforced just a few times in public and on worldwide tv will reduce this problem 95% overnight.
Ah yes, those other 48 black kids killed or maimed over the last week are not worthy of attention, with or without videos.
But a video one black kid resisting arrest while waiving a gun who gets shot by the police whom he was threatening (yes, idiot Mayor, those would be representatives of your government) is “incredibly difficult to watch.”
No, honey, it’s your hypocrisy that is “incredibly difficult to watch.”
I can only suppose it’s not happening on your block, otherwise you’d be watching.
