Chauvin was tried and convicted in the local press/media long before the first potential juror was interviewed.

Any juror selected that claimed that they could be fair and impartial is a bleeping liar.

Most accused do not testify on their on behalf. It is very common.

This gives the rioters the weekend to show the jury what’s in store if they get it “wrong”.

You are exactly right. The Prosecution is grasping at straws at this point. I don't expect a not guilty, so that would be a wise strategy.

I said it the other day in reaction to a comment about prison. I chuckled and said, not going to happen. This will be ongoing for years.
