The court has convened for the day.
Chauvin has made the court aware that he will not testify in this case, choosing to invoke his Fifth Amendment privilege.
The defense will rest its case Thursday with the state planning to call rebuttal witnesses to address some "newly discovered evidence."
State prosecutor Jerry Blackwell says the state has blood gas evidence from Hennepin County "that would contain blood gas reading for the carbon monoxide content in Mr. Floyd's blood on May 25, 2020." He adds the state was just notified of this evidence on carbon monoxide Wednesday. According to Blackwell, Hennepin County Medical Examiner Dr. Andrew Baker discovered it.

None of this matters.
Chauvin was tried and convicted in the local press/media long before the first potential juror was interviewed.
Any juror selected that claimed that they could be fair and impartial is a bleeping liar.
Most accused do not testify on their on behalf. It is very common.
This gives the rioters the weekend to show the jury what’s in store if they get it “wrong”.
And most who do testify , do it against the advice of their lawyer.
But that is where we are as a Nation morally We make heroes from criminals and criminals from heroes.
The guy that was just shot, no telling how high he will go. They is a very good chance that he will be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in a White House ceremony by the Thief in Chief Joe Biden. How far we have fallen.

Chauvin testifying would open him up to uestions about his whole life and career. When did you stop beating your wife questions would be endless.
This man is on trial while a black cop who murdered a white woman on January 6th in the nation’s capital goes free.
