A Boston hospital says it will offer “preferential care based on race” and “race-explicit interventions” in an attempt to engage in an “antiracist agenda for medicine” based on critical race theory.
A Boston Review article titled “An Antiracist Agenda for Medicine” lays out a plan from Brigham and Women’s Hospital that implements a “reparations framework” for distributing medical resources in order to “comprehensively confront structural racism."

“Together with a coalition of fellow practitioners and hospital leaders, we have developed what we hope will be a replicable pilot program for direct redress of many racial health care inequities,” Harvard Medical School instructors Bram Wispelwey and Michelle Morse wrote in the article.
The authors explain that “racial inequity” in hospitals is negatively affecting patients and propose solutions such as “cash transfers and discounted or free care” for minorities only.
“Offering preferential care based on race or ethnicity may elicit legal challenges from our system of colorblind law … We encourage other institutions to proceed confidently on behalf of equity and racial justice, with backing provided by recent White House executive orders,” the authors explain in a reference to recent executive orders signed by President Joe Biden.
Critical race theory, the belief that the United States is a fundamentally racist country, founding documents such as the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are inherently racist, and that a person can be inherently racist based simply on skin color, has permeated public schools and corporations over the past several years resulting in a now rescinded executive order from former President Donald Trump.
Brigham and Women’s Hospital told the Washington Examiner in a statement that the article is an "opinion piece written by two physicians, not a formal position of the hospital."
"The Brigham is committed to examining and eliminating the many impacts that racism has on the health and wellbeing of our patients," the statement added. "As part of our system’s United Against Racism campaign, we support efforts focused on improving both the access and the experience of our patients, focusing on community health and advocacy, and increasing the diversity of leadership."
The statenent continued: "As part of this commitment, researchers have proposed a pilot program for heart failure patients that aims to address the racial inequities found in a recent study, which found that race, as well as other factors, affected who was admitted to cardiology service at the hospital. Aspects of this pilot program were described within the opinion piece you’ve cited. This program offers a critical step toward identifying opportunities to improve access for patients who have been historically denied equal access."
That’s ok. More blacks than whites go to the hospital anyway.
They are going to fight racism by providing care based on race. Makes perfect sense.
And that's how our justice system works these days. The mob will decide your guilt and carry out the sentence. It's kind of like lynching.
It's along the same lines as being told you are too stupid or inept to even be able to navigate the system to get an acceptable ID for voting purposes. Therefore, nobody should be required to have an ID.
Harvard hospital. Nuff said.
Direct Violation of EMTALA . A federal Law.
Shut the racist place down .
Hmmm. Seems racist. 😁
If they’re that stupid, I wouldn’t want them touching me anyway.
You need to be able to read harvardspeak.
The Brigham and Women’s comment on the opinion article by two relatively minor players in the Longwood Multiverse translates as “Very interesting. Chances we will do what you want = Zero. Now stop talking”.
I left a message on the voicemail of Brigham & Women’s Public Relations Department a few days ago. To my shock and surprise they haven’t gotten back to me.
“preferential care based on race”
that statement is pure racism no matter how you look at it. Plus anyone who practices it is in violation US law. Look no further than the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Doubt many white people will seek health care then.
Since they have not been barred from practicing medicine nor thrown in jail, I can only assume that they will be allowed to continue with their crime. Anybody still think that reparations isn’t right around the corner?
If that is so, have you fired them for their breaking their oaths?
Whites should boycott the hospital. The dead beats will bankrupt the dump.
Given all the preferential treatment given to blacks throughout the university system- medical and law schools- slots being given to those who don’t earn those seats based on grades- I find myself being very careful to choose my doctors and other professionals rather carefully and also based on race. I hate to admit that, but they have forced it. I just can’t trust the well-being of my family to someone who only made it because of the color of his/her skin, and not because of ability.
Bostonian hospital soon to go broke...
