A new precedent has been set.
No new precedent has been set.
You want proof try disobeying a police officer next time the police stop your car.
Agree, between this guy, BLM and antifa the police are effectively neutered. That may have even uglier unintended consequences.
The cop will rue the day he decided to pull over somebody for a chicken-shit offense that had not even been committed.
This will translate into Army SJWs questioning orders from their superiors eventually...maybe in battle.
Let’s see how proud the Sergeant Major is of them then...
Mkay.
“My take away of this is ...”
Mine is that we’ll never see a full analysis of what happened because there are certain things you don’t say these days if you want to keep your career.
So the Sergeant Major is proud of the guy’s professional behavior. How professional is it to go a mile with blue lights on your tail and not get out of your vehicle when ordered to?
The officer didn’t act perfectly either.
Hindsight being 20/20, one question or issue brought up to Lt Sh*t For Brains and, of course, the SMA......
How do you react when someone you give a lawful order to, doesn’t comply with that order?
Q: So Sergeant Major, when you give an order to one of the E4s that work for you and it isn’t obeyed, are you proud of them?
Was a lot of nonsense talk on here the other day that his commanding officer would either chew him out, publicly bash him, or throw him out of the army over this.
It seems the Sargent Major isn’t any smarter than the Butter Bar, both are a disgrace to the uniform I wore proudly.
This is bizarro world.
Do not comply with police, if you are military. Just like China CCP.
Good lord, people - read between the lines. The SGM is trying to ‘head em off at the pass’.
SGM’s do NOT ‘speak’ to officers or officer issues, they ‘speak’ for and TO the enlisted ranks. This is trying to head off the counter-reaction from enlisted ranks to civilian police.
More than a few civilian police departments in areas near military posts are well known for targeting enlisted soldiers unfairly. Little town on east gate of Ft Riley has been notorious for decades for this.
So in Biden’s Army resisting a lawful order to exit one’s vehicle represents a “calm, professional response to the situation”. Good to know.
Seems about right for an "Army of One".
The Sergeant Major should have kept his nose out of it. A very bad precedent.
Is there ANY doubt the US military has become as political as the FBI?
I HATE what is happening, and I’m a 25 year vet. Newsmax showed some of the otherwise unseen video last night, to include the idiot refusing to get out because “I don’t have to” and complaining how, as a serviceman, he was too special to obey a cop.
AND that he was concealing a gun on his person, while in uniform. In my day, concealed weapons were not allowed in uniform! Or out of uniform, if I’m on base. That part is still true. Don’t like it, but it is true.
The person hosting this review of the actions that night is an ex-cop. It's a split-screen with four videos on the monitor simultaneously..including the soldier's camera that was recording the entire time!. It shows the soldier willfully being obstinate and disobeying the officer's orders. To me, the soldier videoing the incident tells me he wanted his SJW 15 minutes of fame.
The soldier should not be celebrated as a hero.
I’m starting to see a pattern, certain people are argumentative, don’t adhere to LEO directives, run, fight, etc. Then sh*t happens and it’s ALWAYS the officers fault. They call it, policing while White.
Screw you! Those cops were out of control and they needlessly made what could have been a polite traffic stop into a career ending event because of “Muh Authritah!!!”.
