The South Africa variant of the coronavirus affects vaccinated individuals more than those who are unvaccinated, according to a new study from Tel Aviv University and Israel’s largest healthcare provider.
The study, which was published Saturday and still requires peer review, looked at 400 individuals who tested positive for the coronavirus despite receiving at least one dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine and compared the prevalence of the South African variant, B.1.351, with the same number of people who have not yet received a vaccination.
(snip)
Not only could the variant “break through” protections offered by the Pfizer vaccine, but it uniquely affects those who have been vaccinated (around eight times higher) than those who have not received the vaccine — 5.4% to 0.7%.
Stern said the result came as a surprise, based on larger patterns.

First off, not interested in being on a "side" in this debate that has been raging everywhere, except to say that I have had doubts on this mRNA gene therapy as opposed to more traditional methods.
Based on articles regarding previous animal trials regarding SARS, this article, among other articles that have been popping up the last few months, makes me raise an eyebrow.
Taking the shot is one's own decision. However, if what is raised in the article pans out, and in the near future people start exhibiting reactions....Given the lying (a LOT of lying), the attempts to make it mandatory-while-not-making-it- mandatory, no liability....
Don't be surprised if people decide to start taking it out of the hides of the likes of Fauci, media, and your neighborhood Karen.

This sounds familiar from the past, history repeating itself. I remember studies of the original SARs Vaccine trials on animals.
I also remember reading last year, people in Wuhan who have receive the experimental vaccine during the previous SARs outbreak had a worst reaction to the Covid-19 then the people who have not received that experimental vaccine. I must wonder if the high death rate and videos of people falling over in the streets were those people.
From 2003: China to begin testing SARS vaccineNote: I believe this test site was Wuhan
From: 2005 Jab against one strain might worsen infection with others. Have you every wonder how they develop the vaccine for Covid-19 so fast? Could they have used the SARS vaccine that was developed over 10 years ago.

Some people like vaccines.
Some people don’t like vaccines.
People who take vaccines ought to feel a high level of protection against certain diseases.
People who don’t take vaccines are taking their chances with certain diseases.
Why should I be forced to take any vaccine?
Who am I putting in danger?
If you want to feel a high level of protection against certain diseases, then you should take the vaccine. That’s on you.
Forcing me to take medicine so that you can somehow feel safer is tyranny and it pains me that some people don’t see that.

Now, you will be the good guy if you never were vaccinated.
When will the majority of humans smell this stinky rat and rise against it?
I know if you have been vaccinated you will need to hide in your homes and wear triple masks. See, was it all worth it?

Not only could the variant “break through” protections offered by the Pfizer vaccine, but it uniquely affects those who have been vaccinated (around eight times higher) than those who have not received the vaccine — 5.4% to 0.7%. The South Africa variant is generally rare, making up only about 1% of all coronavirus infections.Really disappointed in the lack of information in this article. We could be, probably are, talking infinitesimal percentages here. If the SA variant ( it's once again OK to use country of origin if it's not China) makes up 1% of the infections, does this test group of 400 represent that 1%? So with the vaccine you are somewhat (8x) more likely to be in the 1% infected? So what, your chances are 99.8 not 99.9% safe? And what was the make-up of this 400 test group, what conditions did they have?

I think that is not exactly what the researchers said. Although it may be what someone in the (fake news) media said.

Nevertheless, the B.1.351 incidence in Israel to-date remains low and vaccine effectiveness remains high against B.1.1.7, among those fully vaccinated. These results overall suggest that vaccine breakthrough infection is more frequent with both VOCs, yet a combination of mass-vaccination with two doses coupled with non-pharmaceutical interventions control and contain their spread.

When they say the vaccinated group is “affected more” than the unvaccinated group do they mean symptoms are more severe or just that the vaccinated group is more likely to test positive for the variant? Getting the chicken pox vaccine puts the chicken pox virus in your bloodstream and would cause you to test positive for chicken pox even though you show no symptoms, by the way.

Who am I putting in danger?
My mother is currently undergoing chemotherapy for stage 3 cancer. She cannot get the vaccine because her immune system cannot handle both that and chemo at the same time. I got the vaccine more for her than for me, since I am young and healthy and more likely to win the lottery than to die from COVID. So to answer your question you are endangering any immunocompromised people you might be in contact with.
To: FormerFRLurker
I’m sorry for her situation. She should quarantine and wear a mask. Imposing tyranny on the US is not a good compromise.

She does, but I am not going to stop taking care of her, hence the need for me to be vaccinated. Unless you are certain that everyone in your immediate family and circle of friends has a functioning immune system, you should get vaccinated.

My understanding the Vaccine will not prevent all people from catching Covid-19. The vaccine lowers the risk factor for severe illness.
Are you really protecting your mother if you could still catch Covid-19 after having the Vaccine? "Keep in mind that if you’re fully vaccinated from COVID-19, your risk of getting COVID-19 might be low. But if you become infected, you might spread the COVID-19 virus to others even if you don’t have any signs or symptoms of COVID-19."
From Mayo Clinic My wife is at stage 4 and cannot have the vaccine too. I will not take the vaccine and just avoid the public for now. I do not want to get infected and not know it. I prefer to feel the symptoms so I can self isolate.

How about focusing on an iron-clad process whereby people like your mother are protected/quarantined vs. setting up a false scenario where everyone else has to take a relatively untested vaccine with a much, much higher ratio of side effects and deaths than normally tested vaccines?

The 2012 Coronavirus Vaccine study showed immunopathology, or hypersensitivity to future Coronaviruses, is a “feature” of these vaccines. If they knew this in advance, the question is...”why did they choose to administer them to the ENTIRE WORLD!?!
Worldwide induced immunopathology would give a significant amount of control over everyone...except those pesky vaccine hesitant people.
