I got the J&J 3 days ago.
Got mine this morning.
That is the only vaccine I will take but cannot find it in my area. How did you find a location?
And? How are you feeling?
All the people I know that had Moderna...had very sore arm for a few days...and that's just the firt shot. Heard the second gives even stronger reaction.
No problems so far. Minor soreness at injection site - they used a 2” needle (thankfully thin) to get the vaccine deep in the muscle. Pretty much not bothering me, but I have a ridiculously high pain tolerance so I’m not the best metric for that.
They had me hang out in the store for 15 minutes to see if there were any immediate reactions - none. T-plus 4 hours now.
Second shot four or five days ago, nothing but a bit of fatigue...but that could have been from giving my all here at FR.
lol
These numbers available from the CDC web site:
through late March 2021, US only.
Moderna vaccine: 1016 dead
Pfizer vaccine: 946 dead
J&J vaccine: 16 dead
Unknown Mfg: 7 dead
Total 1,985 dead
That’s just in reports filed with the CDC.
I found mine through https://vaccinefinder.org - you can select what vaccine you’re looking at. You will likely have to try multiple zip codes. Another thing is to make sure you click on the link when it shows a place has it; many places do not update their availability information, so any place that hasn’t updated their status in the past 24-48 hours should be skipped.
Go look at the normal death rates for the US population per the same number of people that have gotten the vaccines. It’s not even a blip on the radar.
Those CDC numbers are “people who received the vaccine who died from any cause” not “people who were killed by the vaccine” last I checked.
Once again my prediction that this thing is in the rear view mirror by Independence Day is looking accurate.
RE: I got the J&J 3 days ago.
So folks, any side effects so far?
Hope you’re doing fine after the vaccine...
I had the J&J three days ago also. Felt a little fatigued a couple of times over the weekend, but no other issues and feel fine today.
Got my J&J on 3/18 through the VA. No problem. Might of sneezed once.

See my post 7. Obviously early days, but so far nothing concerning.
Worth noting again, for those that do not know - Pfizer and Moderna are mRNA vaccines and while I think that technology has promise, working in IT has taught me to never be an early adopter of a new tech if you don’t want ugly surprises. Johnson and Johnson’s vaccine is based on 30-plus year old technology and there’s not really much new in it; it also has nothing to do with mRNA.
I can’t speak for her, but I also only wanted the Johnson & Johnson vaccine; see my post immediately above for why.
They've got to pump up the vaccine rates in order to take credit even though the infectious rate may be subsiding on its own.
If it is a blip by July 4, then as far as "they" are concerned, there is always next season for the fear squad.
