Dan Sullivan says he’ll support fellow Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski if she runs for reelection

Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan of Alaska committed on Sunday to supporting Sen. Lisa Murkowski, the state’s other GOP senator, should she decide to mount a reelection bid next year, giving the moderate lawmaker another ally as top party leaders pledge to oust her.

“If Sen. Murkowski runs again, I’m going to support her,” Sullivan told ABC News in an interview, noting that the two senators “don’t agree on everything, but we make a good team for Alaska.”

“When I ran in 2014 and beat a Democrat incumbent and we got the Senate majority back, Sen. Murkowski was a strong supporter of mine. And in 2016 I supported her. And just in my reelection in 2020, where, you know, the national Democratic Party came in big in Alaska, massive amount of money, Sen. Murkowski was a strong supporter of mine and we won that reelection very strongly,” he said.

So, because those relatives don’t meet your standards of perfection, they “pollute” your world? The last guy who was “perfect” like you did not have a good start to his weekend.

You’re thinking of Joe Miller. He beat Murkowski in the 2010 primary and the GOP Establishment got behind, not the Republican nominee, but they’re preferred candidate, who was appointed to the seat by her father, the Governor.

That’s how it works. The Ruling Oligarchy protects its oligarchs.

The people be damned!

Didn’t Sullivan lose to her after beating her in the primary and then somehow, she won on write-in ballots. A majority of which had so many things wrong with them, they shouldn’t have been counted.

No, Joe Miller beat Murkowski in the primary.

And, if possible, can anyone provide info on someone else that loses a primary but then wins by write-ins, especially for US Senate?

In 2006, Joe Lieberman was defeated in the 'rat primary and ran and won as an independent, but not a write-in candidate.

Trump only won 52% of the vote there. To put that in perspective, he did 6-points better in UT. Look at the idiot UT voters sent to represent them in DC.

Makes me put the Calif. recall in doubt. Local efforts are the order of the day. Let’s pray for a big brushfire.

Him supporting her is the natural progression of things: Water gets one wet. Heat burns one. The Establishment supports and enables each other as they screw the sheep.

I have never been to Alaska, but I get the impression that Anchorage is a mini version of Seattle or Portland. About 40% of the population of Alaska lives there.

AK will be “blue” soon as the Senate is but lost. My pessimism is not due to how the left is steamrolling us, it is the total ineptitude and fraud of the the GOP at most levels. Let’s not forget the wild card is most voters today are retarded and the left has way more passion and desire in politics than conservatives.

I would imagine that the R voters in AK in the end have to vote for the candidate that the party gives them, or stay home. The problem is the party, they will never allow the GOP to be taken over by conservatives, so they recruit losers like Murkowski and force their voters to vote for this swill to help continue the con game in DC.

“Sad thing is the Dems will take Senatorial seats in Ak.”

Certainly in the case of Murkowski, they already have.

I lived along Yukon 20 years. People would show up with packsack and make it, others would be heading South after first winter claiming Alaska was worst place known to man. Some people can't do much on their own, others thrive in adversity.

It snowed last night; I'm gonna ride snowmachine down on river today.

I got the 2nd amendment on my mind too much. I don’t want to die in a shootout just yet; but I think it’s an eventuality and at my age I guess giving my life for my country is honorable and right.
