Personally, I think this will die due to the Prisoner's Dilemma. If NJ or PA or CT or MA don't require it and tourism and conferences go outside, I suspect NY will cancel it when "the pandemic is over."

I won’t be getting the vaccine, so they can keep their passport. I won’t be needing it. I don’t attend large public venues...don’t fly, take public transportation, or do cruises. I live alone, visit my two sons, and my niece and her family occasionally, go to my doctor’s when I need to, and the grocery store once or twice a week. Don’t know anyone who has had the virus, or died from it. The only thing that changed during the lockdown was that I stopped meeting friends at the local casino once a month. It’s been over a year since I was there, and I won’t be going back as long as they require a mask. I only went because I enjoyed the buffet lunch, but since there will probably never be buffet dining anywhere ever again, there’s no sense in going.

Now Trump voters who refuse to get vaccinated and try to pass a fake covid pass. You can bet your a$$ they are going to be checking for that and again it will be nearly impossible to fake a covid pass. They will establish a national database and give every one of the hundred thousand federal agents the ability to access it. We have the technology right now to have every cop in he country have the ability to scan the code on the pass and verify it against a national database.
