Thursday, at his first press conference as president, Joe Biden appeared to forget what he was saying, then become so confused that he struggled to move on to a new topic.
Pres. Biden was addressing the possibility of abolishing or changing the Senate filibuster when he lost his train of thought, looked down, then tried to summarize what he meant to say.
Biden seemed to have increasing difficulty expressing his thoughts, then completely lost his train of thought:
“So, the best way to get something done, if you…if you hold, it near and dear to you, that you…uh, uh, like to be able to, uh - well, anyway.
“I, ah…we’re ready to get a lot done.
“And, if we have to, if there’s complete lockdown and chaos as a consequence of the filibuster, then we’ll have to go beyond what I’m talking about.”
Biden, then, appeared to continue to be confused as he tried to refer to his notes to call on the next reporter:
“Okay, um – hang on…ah, sorry. Oh. Same name, Miss Kim.”
Answering the next question, Biden recovers, somewhat, though he pauses and has trouble continuing, at one point. By the following question, he appears to get back on track.
Of course not. These were all questions submitted ahead of time, and certain ones were approved. Then the answers were written so that Joe could manage to deliver them. There was no interrupting, and no follow ups.
Do we have enemies? I thought Joe was everyone’s friend.
No, 80 million votes were cast. That isn’t the same as 80 million voters.
“We need less Chris Wallace and more William Wallace.”
BTTT.
He lost his place in the answer cards.
Ok, thanks for the correction. It was hard for me to watch so I inferred this from others. I guess I misunderstood.
Chris did not like having to say the obvious, he originally gave Joe good reviews on his presser.
Yep. Nothing to see here.
“His staff had him memorize prewritten answers”
His staff might have gone over those answers with Biden but he didn’t memorize them.
Ssame thing with my father. He can recite poetry he memorized in the 3rd grade but can’t recall if he ate breakfast.
Yup.🤔
Wouldn’t your ‘Uncles Mom’ be your grandmother? Is my brain not working today? No disrespect or anything, but for some reason that just really stood out to me.
That sounds about right for Chris Wallace.
Man married my blood aunt. That man is my uncle by marriage. His mother is not related to me.
Thank you! Dang, talk about brain fog! HAHA! Just couldn’t wrap my head around it. Duh.
He’s Shep Smith-Lite
She was still regarded as a matriarch among our family, and we treated her as such. No offense taken.
