Cumulus Media and Westwood One have agreed to terms with conservative commentator Dan Bongino to host a daily three-hour show from 12-3pm eastern.
Bongino currently hosts a daily podcast for Westwood One that since March 2020 has been repurposed into a one-hour syndicated show on over 100 stations including 790 KABC Los Angeles and 560 KSFO San Francisco.
The new show would air live in the timeslot currently held by Limbaugh on many if not all Cumulus owned Conservative Talk and News Talk stations.
Bongino is a former NYPD officer and Secret Service agent turned conservative pundit and investor in digital properties including Parler and Rumble. He has previously served as a fill-in host at WMAL Washington and WBAL Baltimore and multiple syndicated talkers including Sean Hannity.
An official announcement should be forthcoming by early next week.
Even more reason why I've never heard of him..........But thanks for the heads up. If by any chance I decide to listen to talk on Sirius (never happen) or watch the Blaze, (never happen) I'll check him out........
I think Hopalong Hypsadoo would be better than your guy.........
I wish Mr. Bongino the best of luck.

Understood...some people like being told what’s good vs seeking out greatness independently. Small wonder Springsteen has so many fans.
Still doesn't explain why I've never heard of your guy. Maybe because he's never appeared on the airwaves in my location and is in essence, a nobody?
And why bring Springsteen into the conversation? That doesn't make any sense at all.....Sheesh!
I’m don’t know why you’re going on and on with me about this. What I said is correct. The headline was poorly written and misleading. I’ve been in radio for decades, and I know how easily people can misunderstand these things.
Because what you were saying isn’t telling the whole picture either. You re blowing it off like it is no big deal with your first posting. There are tons of Cumulus stations carrying Rush and some of the top markets are Rush Cumulus: Chicago, Dallas, DC, San Fransico. This is a big deal! And the headline never said what you said it said.
Is this the Rush Limbaugh Show hosted by Dan Bongino or is it the Dan bongino show? Will Mr. Snerdley the screening the calls?
I get it now. You just like to argue. My only point—AGAIN—All the Citizen Free Press had to do was write a correct headline: “Bongino to Replace Limbaugh on Cumulus Stations,” but they did not.
Bongino is kind of a firebrand(which is good in my opinion). He use to sub for Michael Savage. I sometimes listen to his show after it is uploaded each day to Youtube.
He’s a real firebrand which I like but as someone who has listened to both Limbaugh and Bongino, Bongino will really need to up the game in terms of broadcast presentation. Just my opinion.
I was adding to your it’s not true Rush is being replaced post. But then you got offended. The part where you said Rush Limbaugh is distributed by Preimiere (iheart) so this announcement from Cumulus has no connection to Rush is not true either.
Take California. A Cumulus station runs the Rush Limbaugh show on KSFO in San Fransico. If Cumulus is going to Bongino, then Rush will be replaced. Next go to Los Angeles, KTLA, I just heard Bongino tonight say he will be on 12-3. Also the iheart runs all of the Cumulus and non-Comulus stations. So explain to the listeners again how this announcement has nothing to do with Rush Limbaugh being replaced.
Dan Bongino to take over Rush Limbaugh's radio time slot https://t.co/QXnEAmB4VN #FoxNews— Bo Snerdley (@BoSnerdley) March 18, 2021
Bongino show starts May 24
Yes and it’s quite possible iHeart stations will be mandated to carry the
EIB/Premiere show.
Premiere is iHeart’s syndication arm of
course
Dan’s show. I don’t know how much longer they will be playing re-runs of Rush. I can’t listen to them, I simply turn off the radio. Here, the only other choice we have is a station with a Financial Talk show, and a dozen ‘music’ stations of every kind. We have NPR as well, but I don’t tune them in......................
Was Dennis Prager up for the slot?
That I don’t know...I just saw someone make that statement. I like him, but don’t think he would be right for it, as much as I like him.
I agree. Prager is an intellectual, but not an entertainer. You have to be both to even begin to fill the shoes of Limbaugh (which no one will ever be able to do).
