Dr. Martin Makary is sounding the alarm that children are 10 times more likely to die of suicide than coronavirus.
Makary is professor of surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a professor of health policy and management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
“New research on kids we should have anticipated: Self-harm and overdoses increased 91-100%. Published this morning by @FAIRHealth @axios @caitlinnowens. Kids are 10X more likely to die of suicide than coronavirus. #OpenSchoolsNow to save lives,” he tweeted Tuesday.
The study he cites states was published March 2 by the nonprofit FAIR Health and titled “The Impact of COVID-19 on Pediatric Mental Health.” Its summary notes that kids’ self-harm and suicides have increased exponentially during COVID-19 lockdowns that have closed schools.
“In public health, research always lags behind reality and events,” Makary told Tucker Carlson on Tuesday night. “…This is the first of many research studies, and it looks pretty grim.”
He said the study found there has been a 300 percent increase in young people coming to doctors because they tried to hurt themselves, and that was found to be especially true in areas with strict COVID lockdown protocols....
The fundamental problem is we have not looked at the totality of data on the health of kids and health consequences,” Makary said on Fox News on Tuesday. “… As a scientist, you’ve got to look at the totality of data on health outcomes.”
The doctor asked why kids are last in the COVID re-opening plans and said a lookback on the data will hopefully contain honest assessments..

The States’ lack of publicized “exit plans” from lockdowns, masking, and restrictions has caused too many young people to form their own personal exit plans.
People are dying from being put into confinement in their homes.
They don’t have Covid ~ 19! They have DPLS!!!
They have: Democratic Pandemic Life Suppression which is causing severe mental illness!!
However, when told to wear 2 or more masks and stay inside, half of our population: — the feeble-minded, the Biden voters, the Karens — will instantly comply.
Watch the suicide count rise with they find out the vax made them sterile or worse.

What? You think these people care about kids? They kill babies for crying out loud! ralph northam, a supposed “pediatrician” thinks we ought to even just let a baby die after it’s already been borne. These people are freaking monsters!

You know, I hear about this and I can see it. But never think too much about it.
Today, I found out that my son’s friends (brothers right behind our house) have NOT been outside the house area at all, this whole year!
They got to talk to my son today when they were out in their yard. As usual, they cannot get together and even stand apart more than 6ft rather than all hanging over the fence together.
I assumed by now they had at least gone to a store, etc. But seriously, it seems now they really haven’t done anything. Exactly a year ago, was the last time they “got close” to my son - at his birthday sleep-over, which thankfully went off fine and then this nonsense hysteria hit.
I know the parents are a bit ridiculous, but this makes me very sad, to think them so bored and staying in their rooms most of the day - for a year????
This is absurd. It seems like pure abuse.

The kids have been back at school for a few months here, no masks.
But the teachers here aren’t union.
What confinement? Have you not seen the Walmart parking lots?
My wife asks/comments whenever we drive past the Walmart Parking lot, “Is this the Friday after Thanksgiving? Look at that full parking lot!”
Home Depot’s parking lot is full and there is a long line of customers waiting to get in.
