Yours is a more realistic reason as, to sue for catching covid, you’d have to prove you got it in a particular store and even then as a result of negligence. Two very high hurdles to surmount, especially the first element.

If our local Kroger leaves the mask requirement in place once DeWine lifts the mask order, I will think long and hard about switching stores.
My husband and I have both received our second shots and are looking forward to a trip to Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield in the very future!

This whole thing is going to melt down by itself as more people get the vaccination. Eventually critical mass will be reached and the masks will go away. Except for the professional worriers and anybody who makes a profit from the use of masks.
the solution is simple:bunches of courageous, retired folk can organize maskless flash mobs that descend upon said stores, buy one or two items and all stand in self-checkout lines ... nothing the stores can really do about that kind of “mob” but whinge about it ... if i lived in texas or mississippi, i’d lead the charge ...

ALL Tennessee politicians (down to dog catcher) who supported mask mandates at ANY level need to voted out of office at the next opportunity...does anyone have a list??? (Damn shame ‘health officials’ aren’t elected...I’d like to give them the boot, as well.)

We have no mask requirements in GA but all retailers are requiring them.
This will change real quick as shoppers stay away from mask nazi businesses to shop where their faces are welcome.
How about this: no mask mandate but you may wear one if you choose. That way we can all shop at the same places. Can’t we just get along?

tj max dollar store publix and many more. I do not wear a mask. No one says anything. Florida. For the last year. Only wear mask to medical facilities.
Walmart has a no confrontation policy.. even for thieves.

Same here in Nevada (still mandated masks) at Smith's and Wal-Mart. I wear the mask - under my nose or on my chin. I'll get a few stares from the Karens, but nothing else.
