Being an anti-racist educator in 2021 can feel like something of a contradiction.

White centering?
Most English speaking people probably think “allyship” could be replaced by recognized word “alliance.” Just a thought. The article would be more readable that way.
Just being a Honkie is evil. Just ask Louis Farrakhan, and the authoress of White Fragility.
Ah, but the word “alliance” doesn’t sound sufficiently “wonkish” in the realm of Cutting Edge Race Theory Newspeak.
They don’t want no honky money!
Did you see the dolt that somebody in CPAC invited to speak until they got a look at some of his tweets and beliefs? He calls himself pharaoh. What is with the Republican pandering to people who hate us?

Here’s how I’ll be an ally to artists of color - if they produce things of artistic worth, I’ll praise them and if financially possible, I’ll buy their offerings. If they suck, I won’t.

"Allyship" sounds like a word Oswald Bates would use...
Well Sue Storm but she’s fictional.

Too bad she hasn’t been successful, like years ago.
Too bad they managed to screw up all of the movies she was in.

Love child of mommy “Space”?
Art is art. If it’s good, I’ll enjoy it. If I have to discern some deeper meaning from it because the artist (or some nose-in-the-air critic) says so, then it probably isn’t good art to begin with.
“It’s important to understand privilege — the privilege that you have, where it came from, and what you were able to provide for yourself because of it. Bottom line is, a white person does have more privilege than a BIPOC person”
I have the privilege of getting up at 4:45 tomorrow morning as I do and heading out to the farm. It’s how I am able to provide for myself and my family. Is it proper to use BIPOC? Bisexual piece of crap?
