The players claim that a pro-Trump rally held near the campus shows that some protests are OK with the school. But the school pointed out that the Trump rally was held on city streets, not college grounds.
That didn’t satisfy the players: “So it’s OK for everyone to have a Trump rally with Confederate flags, but it’s not OK for us to kneel for our people who’ve fallen,” Christian said. “He didn’t have an answer for that.”
This is the mind of a child in the body of a college athlete. The Trump rally was not on the college grounds. The school had no connection with it. [College President David Olive] tried to explain that to all the children on campus.
“We are a private entity, not a governmental entity,” Olive said in his statement. “We have policies and guidelines throughout the student handbook and the academic catalog that limit certain rights you otherwise might have elsewhere, such as in your home or in a public venue. The most important to me as it pertains to this matter, however, is what I shared earlier. When someone puts on a uniform or is performing a function on behalf of Bluefield College, that person is now representing Bluefield College. Heightened expectations are now placed on that individual as to what s/he can and cannot do or say as a representative of the College.”

The protesting players are well over six feet tall, but their brains are too small to figure out why they were wrong. These are the kinds of kids who give Scholarship students a bad name.
Take away their scholarships and form a team from walk-ons.
Rare indeed, lets hope it's catching.
I’ve got an even better idea . . . Drop Basketball and add Lacrosse! Would actually help the Title IX numbers since the lacrosse rosters are bigger, making the ratios look better.
Screw it already with these kids not appreciating their scholarship opportunities!

Now let’s take a look at those athletic scholarships.

Then they’ll say it’s “white privilege because the stick looks like whips that the white man used on slaves” or some idiotic woke leftard racist crap..

Perhaps it is time to suspend college sporting events in order to look into why these athletes are being taught to hate the USA.
What campus courses are poisoning the minds of our youth? Why are they being taught to hate their own country? Is that what we want?
Would that the president of my alma mater could have pair just like that. Instead, he went weasel along with the Athletic Director and now the athletes think they run things.

That is the typical combination, provided we are talking about a pretty stupid child’s mind.

The Left will seek to crush this.
He might have asked them if it would have been okay before the game, to have the Trump rally, with Confederate flags, on the court? Wouldn’t they have found it objectionable? That’s why it would be prohibited as well.
The game is all about respect. And respect works both ways.
Of course this argument would be meaningless to the man-child.
