I remember the Texas Tower shooter (1966) Charles Whitman who killed more with a slow to load Remington ADL 6MM bolt action rifle.
Killed 16, wounded 31.
While he also had an M1 carbine most were killed with the bolt action.

And who can forget Richard Speck (1966) who murdered eight nursing students with a knife.

Interesting. Never knew about that one.

I had a Marlin lever action .22 back then. Step father sent it to a “gunsmith” in Beaumont, apparently a dishonest one, who not only didn’t fix it, swapped my stock for another one. Never liked it after that, it didn’t look or feel like my gun, finally sold it. They don’t make them any more. I fixed it myself, $5 part, 10 minutes work. Fun trying to locate parts 10 years before Al Gore invented the internet...have a Marlin model 925 bolt action now, love it. Accurate as they get. At 30 yards it will hold 15 shots you can cover with a milk jug cap. Every time.

After Remington bought Marlin, they dropped production of the most popular .22 rifle ever, their lever action. Golden 39A was hard to beat. Made no sense. Quality went downhill too. I’ll never come near a Marlin not marked New Haven, Conn. The New York ones were not the quality of the original factory after Remington took over and moved them.

The shooter who shall remain nameless used 10 round magazines at Parkland. It didn’t help. And a deputy hid outside the building, for whatever reason.

“...federal law prevents hunters from hunting migratory game birds with more than three shells in their shotgun.”

Migratory game birds are not trying to kill hunters.

Maybe it didn’t help but a gun grabber were cite that as proof that the magazine capacity should be reduced to five rounds.

I've carried since-97, only draw to clean or shoot at range. Now break in to my house, it will be otherwise.

Those who push for infringements on Second Amendment rights always use bad data and bad logic.

They could not care any less about facts, logic, or anything else a clear thinking person would display.

Their goal is not to discuss, cuss, or otherwise debate.

They want to abolish the 2A, and disarm the general population, PERIOD.

They would like to rewire the entire US Constitution, but that is a big bite, even for them.

Arguing the law, reasoning with them, presenting facts and figures may be ok for the observers, but the communists that want the whole enchilada will use ANY means, lies, cheating, graft, bribes, why, they will steal entire presidential elections, skim billions, buy and sell politicians and judges, or threaten them with family disappearances, to push the agenda.

The second amendment was designed just for this, to fight those bastards, the only effective way possible.

Yep. Same here but I haven’t carried that long. Since I got the 9mm it always goes in the console of the car, has to be concealed according to Texas law, I don’t have a permit. Guess I need to get one.

Shotgun has stayed beside the bed for 30 years, always loaded with buckshot. Just letting the neighbors know that pretty much does the trick.

Before I moved back here the house (belongs to my sister) was broken into twice, our mother’s house next door once.

When I came back I simply made sure a couple of nosy neighbors knew I sleep with a loaded shotgun 2 feet away. Whole neighhorhood knew in a week, nobody will come near this place.

Similar in the place I lived in Louisiana. I knew the neighborhood had a rough reputation, so the 1st day I brought in a few boxes, the 1st thing out of the truck was my shotgun, leaned it up against the front door, brought boxes in. Did that the 1st 4 or 5 loads. Never had a problem. Word eventually got back to me a couple of years later about some crazy white guy who moved in waving around a shotgun...I knew it was just leaned against the door, but never tried to dispel the rumor...

That’s what gun grabbers refuse to admit. Just the threat of an armed response will deter most petty criminals, house break ins and such. 99% of the armed homeowners in the country never even have to point a gun, just pick it up. I wish I knew how many home invasions are stopped every year that way, without a shot ever being fired. Just show the guy you are armed and he runs.

Only time I ever pick mine up is to clean, or to rid the yard of the armadillos tearing it up. Holes all over the yard. I’ve taken out 6 or 7 the past 4 years, and I know at least 2 I’ve seen are still wandering about...I see the evidence every day...you name it we have it. Armadillos, raccoons, opossums, snakes, bobcats, foxes, deer, rabbits, squirrels. Squirrels have wiped out ALL of our peaches, pears and pecans the past 7 years in a row. Overpopulated. We’ve been trying to thin them out, I still see 3 or 4 run every time I open the back door. Neighbor shot 52, I’ve removed at least 20. Still overpopulated...target practice...

Do NOT make the mistake of putting any trust into the workings of this Supreme Court at all. They have already shown that the Constitution means nothing at all to them.

Yeah. A common sense step to banning all semi-autos.

From the article:I saw a video where it took the shooter .6 seconds to change magazines. Granted, it was a semi-auto pistol, not a semi-auto rifle, but the message is the same: .6 seconds does not allow time for escape.

IMHO, these are "made-up excuses." They just don't want us to have any power, period.

Pretty close to what I heard in Panama: The thieves learn which houses have guns, so as to avoid them, pretty quickly.

And oh, how the feda HATED that book. Really good read. We need an updated one, to include antifa and BLM. But same idea.

A few Democrat states legalized and export dangerous drugs while disarming law abiding people to render them defenseless against the drug dealers. And they want to subjugate all Americans across the United State to their drug regime. I wonder how much cartel-related money those Democrat politicians are receiving.

The Democrat Party: the criminal party.

Tens of thousands of people are killed by drug abuse each year. Far fewer are killed by the mass murders committed with rifles. And most of those mass murders are perpetrated by leftists and other psychopaths.
