The US House of Representatives has passed a historic public lands preservation bill that pledges to protect nearly 3m acres of federal lands in Colorado, California, Washington and Arizona.
The act combines various bills that languished without Senate approval during the Trump administration. Key provisions include permanently banning new uranium mining on land surrounding the Grand Canyon, giving wilderness designation to 1.5m acres of federal land, and preserving 1,000 river miles by adding them to the Wild and Scenic Rivers System....

The news networks never report what we should know about until after the fact.....that’s not going to change. It’s hand and glove cover for any push back from the public.
got curious and found out that about 5% of US land is designated wilderness, with about half of that being in Alaska. If Biden is going for 30% that’s a whole lot of land being grabbed by the feds.
To be noted, admittance to federal wilderness is by permission only - that is they can restrict if, when and how long you can ‘visit,’ and what activities you can and can’t engage in. Turning wilderness into the playgrounds of the intelliectuals, the connected and the elites on ‘reasearch symposiums’. And looking a lot like crazy Agenda 21 stuff.

Eventually, I imagine also such a trapping equipment and firearms as well.

Im sure much of this land is land that could be designated for building along with wilderness land. This gives them the right to restrict the building, just ask agenda 21
Wilderness is the great generator of forest fires.
All that protected dead trees like to catch fire and burn.
I still remember when Reagan was trying to sell off federal lands. The left fought him harder on that than just about anything else...Reagan knew what would happen if the government kept that land.
Return most of federal land to the individual states I say.
So do I. I ran that program for the Dept. of Interior. It was called the Asset Management Program. Too bad it wasn’t more successful.
