America is getting closer to normalcy — it’s absurd to paint it any other way

Perhaps it's just that normalcy makes it too hard to justify the rush to pass a $1.9 trillion "relief" bill filled with Democrats' pet projects. We'd rather not think cynical politics is behind Biden's gloom, but it's hard to see any other reason he's denying that the pandemic's end is staring us in the face.

Don't be silly. Of course they know more about economics than we do. They're Democrat politicians. There is nothing they don't know.

All they have to do is find the owners of the dead businesses, send Federal Marshalls to order them back into business, and make the business people rehire all of their employees, at their expense of course.

This is all so simple, it's no wonder Democrats think Republicans are all idiots.

(Do I really need the /sarc tag?)

Considering the average age of death is 81 with covid, seems unlikely it pulls down the average that much. I do think we’ll have some herd immunity and likely get less lethal over time as well.

I get that. I just think that the better way to recover is not to plaster the economy with newly conjured up money, but to allow the productive resources of this country to be re-employed.

"That’s the press release, but I’m seeing the cases still high... second only to last month. Data folks, DATA."

Arizona. Cases are falling so fast that a monthly comparison is worthless:

I ought to add that government did NOTHING different between last fall and now.

You don’t seem to take it as deadly seriously as I do. This is the true insurrection.

These people are scary and trying to wrest every bit of control they can and create every kind of 1984 law they can, to create finally their commie state.

I have never been so angry and so terrified as this year. Staring with COVID hysteria.

Also please note that cases have been double-counted across county and state lines!

A woman who lives in our county caught the virus in a far county. She was counted in both counties. My nephew caught that through the same vector, working at the bar she was at, and was officially counted where he worked in MD, and lived in DE.

This is a disaster of statistics.

No you don’t. Sounds quite plausible with this bunch.

You know, if they just sent money to people who have taken
it in the shorts, it would be bad enough. The truth is
the money to individuals is less then 1/6th of this bill.

Every pet project they could think up is in it. Bailouts
to very poorly run cities and states figure in.
