Interesting how when the Dems are in the minority they are constantly on the attack and as a result get the majority Republicans to compromise. I remember well the Ryan, Boehner, and Hastert speakerships. Seems like Pelosi was on the tube every day screaming about something. Did the GOP cut off federal funding for the social justice organizations when it controlled the power of the purse?
Somehow I suspect if the GOP had control of the House with only a 5 seat lead the Democrats would control the agenda by pealing off 6 GOP votes on every critical procedural action. Pelosi is always playing hardball offense, in power or not. McCarthy seems comfortable playing friendly, mild mannered defense with a five seat minority. There have to be at least 10 Democrats worried about re-election. Where’s the heavy pressure on them? Nice guys always finish last in a fight to the death.

The GOP isnt built like the DNC where they will literally do everything humanly possible to aid progressive policy...The GOP just has to many swarmy back benchers and get along politicians in order for that to change they must be primaried...luckily Trump is back to at least guide the party a bit since he can’t campaign for everyone
