People who are vaccinated against COVID-19 shouldn’t be told to continue wearing masks and social distance, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said Friday.
“For 100 years almost, since we’ve been developing immunity capability, people have always known if you survive smallpox, you don’t get it again. You get chickenpox, you don’t get it again. You get a vaccine; you stop worrying about polio, etc. For the first time ever, here is a series of vaccines, safe and effective, 95 plus percent effective, and what’s happening? They’re telling us to leave our masks on, to continue social distancing. That’s absurd,”

Except for those that:
- die
- are hospitalized for extreme allergic reactions
- develop Bell’s Palsy
- have a miscarriage
- swollen lymph glands
- etc
Plus the vaccine has not been tested for long term development of cancer, neurological damage, or other conditions.
Where and WHEN. And, wasn't it supposed to be TWO weeks?
That was awesome! And it’s all true and applies to every germ and virus in existence. It’s all out there waiting for us.
Yearly I travel(ed) 200k air miles, took 120 hotel nights, and drove 25k miles. All of it to meet and interact with people both nationally and internationally.
I never hand sanitized, wiped things down, wore a mask continuously, etc. I never avoided public restrooms and I dined in packed restaurants. Ok I would clean off a visibly dirty seat.
Experiencing the worldwide human effluvia builds immunity. Now after a year I’m sure I am more susceptible to getting sick.
No, it was two masks. Or was it three. Pretty obvious that a LOT of folks are suffering from O2 deprivation. REAL obvious. Look! Manure pile!
Who leaves their filthy masks laying around for 3 days?
Everyone knew about it being in feces. You can’t touch anything that doesn’t have feces on it. People are nasty and don’t wash their hands.
I very, very rarely ate out before and haven’t since. That was usually fast food when out of town. Can’t stand dressing up to waste time and money for better establishments.
Haven’t been to Whataburger since the burger flipper stuck the spatula down the backside of his pants to scratch. Haven’t been to Sonic since the car hop had globs of black filth under her nails. Haven’t been to a local bbq place since it proudly boasted EBT cards accepted, of course now they’re accepted everywhere. Haven’t been to a Mexican place after waiters would carry tableware and straws in their back pants pockets, gag. Those were 20 years ago.

What is the point if they only last a few months? Never mind the other questions.
Flood the streets with them; nothing proves you’ve been vaccinated than a T-shirt that says you’ve been vaccinated. So just get the shirt.
One purpose might be as a placebo to placate the fearpers who didn’t want to go anywhere or do anything “until there is a vaccine”.
If you receive the required two shots and now have 90%+ immunity, the COVID virus cannot survive in your body as antibodies will neutralize it. So if you now cannot get sick from COVID, you can’t be spreading it either. Then wearing masks would serve no purpose other than social control. After I get my second shot and given a week or two to be sure, I intend to ditch the face diaper. If I am challenged, I will whip out my phone and show my immunization certificate and challenge the critical Karen to show their proof of being immunized. PS...I plan to send our governor, Tim Jung-un Walz (D-idiot) my last mask to use as a suppository.

The reason no one can say definitively that they last longer than a few months is because they haven't been available for more than that. The odds are very good that they last much longer than that.
In the history of the world, pandemics have always died out because many people became immune and the sick could not transmit their disease to enough people to continue the disease. Most COVID victims can only spread the disease for a week or so. If they don't contact anyone to give it to in that time period, the disease will gradually disappear. The faster more people get the vaccine, the faster the pandemic will end.

Well let's start with Influenza virus, which is NOT a coronavirus. Not the same family. Doesn't even share the same phylum. Influenza virus is as similar to SARS-CoV-2 as human beings are to snails.
And only 12-20% of colds are caused by a coronavirus. In fact, there are four coronaviruses that cause colds: 229E (alpha coronavirus) NL63 (alpha coronavirus) OC43 (beta coronavirus) and HKU1 (beta coronavirus). Most colds are caused by a rhinovirus.

I’ve been going to restaurants all during this so-called pandemic. Never had a problem. Except having to wear the stupid mask in the first place.
Sure, and it's the only polio left in all of Africa. Before the vaccine campaign began in Africa, there were 75,000 children paralyzed by polio there each year. Now there are about 134 CASES of polio per year. All because they used a cheap version of the polio vaccine that sometimes reverts to wild infectious type.
Humans are fallible. But fallible simply means CAPABLE of making mistakes. What it DOESN'T mean is that everything we do is one screw-up after another. God gave us brains big enough to enable us to develop tools to help us survive and thrive in the world. Tools like spears for hunting, huts for shelter, and vaccines to shield ourselves from the ravages of disease. Smallpox is gone around the world. Polio, whooping cough, measles, mumps, rubella, diphtheria, and many other diseases that used to rip through human communities are gone in the US and other western nations.
Polio used to terrorize American parents. You always worried if your baby was the next one to be stricken. So when polio vaccines became available, people lined up down the block to get them. They were a godsend. But we've forgotten. Most of the people alive in this country today don't remember what it was like before vaccines. So now they're demonized as though it's some sort of evil conspiracy.
It's a bunch of nonsense.
