A farmer in northern B.C. who caught a lynx in his chicken coop on Sunday didn't react the way one might expect. He didn't grab a gun or yell at the wild animal.
Instead, Chris Paulson grabbed the lynx by the scruff of its neck, lifted it off the ground and scooped it from the coop.
Then he gave it a gentle scolding.
"He just looked ... a bit like [a kid] with its hand in the chocolate chip bag," Paulson told CBC News from his home near Decker Lake, west of Prince George.

Yeah, I thought it looked pretty young. However, the farmer really thought this was going to prevent the cat from killing chickens later?
I’m assuming he probably shot it when he was off camera...

One of the guys in my neighborhood did just that with a bobcat that was rabid when it attacked him...he broke its neck though.

Try that with a bobcat and your shredded arse will be handed to you.My dad used to tell my brother and I when we about to get into something stupid that might be hard to get out of: "It is a lot easier to catch a bobcat than it is to let go of it." The visual picture of that always makes me laugh.

I'm sure after that firm scolding will make the cat swear off meat and only eat vegetables. BTW farmer moron, the cat wanted to convey its thanks for the compete tour and where all the upset chickens gather together.
BTW, be on the look out for this guy

Neighbor said she saw bobcat tracks down in the gully near our property line. Same direction the coyote I saw was heading. All about a week before our cat vanished one night.

A Lynx pelt is worth about $75. Would have paid for the lost chickens and a door latch.
