Kathryn Limbaugh announced Monday that there will be a virtual memorial service for her late husband, conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh, in the coming weeks.
"We are in the initial stages of planning a celebration of life that will be able to be viewed by all of the audience and friends and extended family at some point in the near future. We don't have an exact date just yet, we're working on some of the logistics," she said, noting the virtual ceremony was due to the coronavirus pandemic.

I’m aware of that and predictions are useless. You don’t know nor does anyone else. If the replacement brings just a third of the audience Rush had, it will be a successful show.
If only President Trump were still in office. I’m sure he would have pulled out all stops to honor the one and only Rush.
I was thinking that, private service is what Rush would want, I miss him I first heard him when in Ky., 1988 I think KXOK we called it kzok when I was stationed at Scott 1960-63.

I suspect Rush was probably involved in making his opinion known on what his wishes for the show and any new host as no one can ever replace Rush.
I read that iHeart/premier originally said they planned to cancel it than backtracked.
I would love to know when it will be. As a replacement, I’d love to see a Gen Z take over or what would be a coup Diamond and Silk...😀 The libs would be howling!!!
No, there will never be someone who can replace Rush. Nor is there anyone who can replace Pres Trump.

Her career makes her a perfect person to manage the different foundations and organizations they set up. She said there are plans for more “Rush Revere” books, and maybe some cartoons.
That may have been part of the plan. She may not have wanted to talk too much. I thought Steyn suggested she might be on again in the future.
Candice Owens or Monica Matthews would be good on that show although Candice is going to have a baby soon.

I listen for 5 minutes, all I could handle without getting teary eye.

Besides the Rush Limbaugh Show is bigger than just Rush. Rush created the show to promote conservative values, American exceptionalism, and to highlight the hard work and sacrifices of patriotic Americans. And as long as whoever is chosen to take up the mantle of hosting duties follows through with staying true to Rush’s format, there will always be a show.

I listened for the second hour that Kathryn was on. It was fine, didn’t find the callers doing any commentary at all. Some mentioned first discovering him and others told of how much they loved him. As for Kathryn, she just lost him 5, 6 days ago, that she could go on the radio at all was amazing. I didn’t think she was going to give the personal private moments of their last days together, that’s for her to cherish, none of my business. Those last days of cancer are not fun.
