Google’s YouTube last week removed a video that showed an attorney testifying to the Ohio legislature, after the service deemed that it contained misinformation about COVID-19.
Thomas Renz, an attorney with the citizens’ group Ohio Stands Up!, spoke to the Ohio House State and Local Government Committee in support of the GOP-backed House Bill 90, which would implement legislative oversight of pandemic-related orders given by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.
Renz testified over the course of about 36 minutes that he opposed the harsh orders imposed by DeWine, a Republican, and health officials amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Renz noted that officials initially thought the fatality rate from the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus would be much higher than the flu, but it turned out to be close to the influenza fatality rate.
He also alleged that no one under the age of 19 has died from COVID-19 in the state, among other claims; state officials say 11 children under 19 have died from the disease.
A YouTube spokesperson told The Associated Press: “We have clear Community Guidelines that govern what videos may stay on YouTube, which we enforce consistently, regardless of speaker. We removed this video in accordance with our COVID-19 misinformation policy, which prohibits content that claims a certain age group cannot transmit the virus.”

Its neither. Its a bunch of assholes thinking they rule the world. You are on Freerepublic. How many sites like this are operational in Russia or China? Books and newspapers in Nazi Germany are easy to control, internet is going to be a bit harder if they can’t control the dark web! Go to Rumble if you want to see other videos. Gab is also ramping up their platforms for video hosting. Your problem is lack of diversification because for now they have a bigger bullhorn. That is all starting to come to an end. They are silencing everyone off their platforms, but not from others. F youtube! F Google and F Facebook
Right or wrong, this is public testimony in front of a legislature. It is part of the historic record. Youtube is now purging history they don’t like.
Does anybody have a link to the video on Rumble? Any video placed on YOUTUBE should be echoed somewhere else since the NAZI censors are hard at work trying to protect the DimWITS.
