its not robbery, it was idiot people who want to save a few cents on their electric bill by agreeing that it will be “variable” who don’t like what that means when the SHTF.

Most Texans are free to choose their electric company. Companies compete by offering various plans. I chose a fixed rate plan for 36 months.

If someone chose a variable rate plan because the normal wholesale price is below my fixed rate plan, that is on them. Freedom to choose means freedom to choose poorly.

Some electric companies are going bankrupt because of that, too. People are complaining they have been switched to another company and that is the reason why.
