Huh.
People’s names are legal entities. If you want to change your name you must petition a judge and in some types of documents disclose your prior name(s).

That generalization doesn't deserve a reply. My mother was a first generation American. She was also a Republican back when it meant something.
She had no problem destroying southern culture and history because it isn’t hers.
The only thing Southern about the Confederacy was that it soiled the same ground. It was a democrat temper tantrum that split the nation and started a civil war. Why would any Republican defend it?
Unless you want to claim that modern Southerners support the reasons for secession here, it has nothing to do with the South.
And I always wondered how elections would turn out if party affiliations on ballots were eliminated. Thus, the uniformed might not simply pin the tail on the donkey quite as easily. At least in down ticket ballots.
The primaries could be determined by the top three which would go to the general election.
I also think it would be far less costly in the long run if outside money were eliminated and each candidate were given x amount of funding from coffers. Providing they were able to get x number of signatures to get on the ballot.
It may sound limiting but the system we have now has become corrupted beyond fixing.
A tale of two parties:
Republican: a photo of a poodle with a sad face ends a Senator's aspirations for higher office.
Democrat: a new organization is created, moveon.org, to "get over" Bill Clinton's impeachment for philandering with a 21YO intern.
Beam me up, Scotty!
It’s not so much that I’m the better man. I just know who Romney is.
N=1 is meaningless, and I didn’t say, or allude, to all of them.
It sounds like you’re in favor of the destruction of history and culture. When I lived, and spent time, in the South, Blacks and Whites got along far better than up here outside Philly. Southerners don’t need NE liberals telling them what’s acceptable, nor do they need Indians. Her allegiance is to power and herself, not a set of beliefs.
Slavery is the worst thing in America ever, followed by the 19th Amendment. We’re paying for both now.
“The smartest thing she could have done was not say a word about what she believed.”
Right...????
But that’s not what the Consultant Class / Experts teach Republicans to do.
Are You a man or a mouse?
Nikki: “Squeak!”
Rove and his white board
In this post-coup environment, politicians feel compelled to declare loyalty to the Swamp.
Always remember the victors write the history books. At present that quote needs to be amended to include the propensity of the left to create false histories & bury the truth. It is important that conservative and MAGA do not give in to the temptation to do the same.
The situation is neither as simple nor as clear cut as you suggest. The strongest factors in the Civil War were based on economic difference between the North & South and the belief in the South that they had been promised more sovereignty when they joined the compact than was afforded them.

“For the life of me, I never understood why anyone with an ounce of intelligence and conservative principles ever thought this misfit was even a minimally credible presidential candidate, let alone a “frontrunner” of any kind.”
I would imagine because the inside the beltway swamp is looking for different things in a president than you or I are looking for.
“brazenly lying, two-faced dishonesty that is apparently endemic in Hindu culture.”
I wouldn’t jump to national origin when there is so much two-faced dishonesty already in US insider politics.
I'll take your word for that and stand corrected.
It sounds like you’re in favor of the destruction of history and culture.
No, but I don't associate modern Southerners with slavery any more than I associate modern Japanese with the crimes of their past regimes.
When I lived, and spent time, in the South, Blacks and Whites got along far better than up here outside Philly.
That makes my point that the modern South has nothing to do with the democrats that split our nation. Why defend them?
Linda Graham.
Yuck, yuck! :)
Our opinion on Romney is apparently shared, he destroyed the HC system in Massachusetts & started the Nation on the path to accomplishing the same. His actions at Bain Capital, and in every other arena he has appeared, demonstrate he is a scoundrel without a moral compass or redeeming features.
Our only difference is that I see Nimrata as cut from the same cloth. Watch her more closely and you may come to the same belief.
BINGO
Burn, Hayley, burn!
“Nikki, Pierre, et al. can no longer mount a charm offensive to slither back into our good graces”
Exactly!
The Republican establishment does these things because they are counting on the voters forgetting. They are counting on being able to sweet talk us back into the fold.
That’s on us if forget.
