I had better not do that. When I have had her in, then when we open the door, she just prances in. One day Ginger will see her and the fight will be on. LOL! She did seem to like it, but being warm and then having to go back out where it’s cold can’t be fun.
Glad you’re finally done without having to breathe that salt dust when you go anywhere. Not pleasant! Warm weather is on it’s way. Yay!

Yeah, tangling with Ginger wouldn’t be fun for her but then she might just kick Ginger’s butt. LOL She’s had to gain street smarts since she lives outside. The little ones can be pretty wily.
I was a little concerned about having to go out because the salt dust was SO bad Wed. afternoon. But it wasn’t bad at all today.
It’s going to be a relief to all of us to have more normal temps again. We aren’t used to arctic temps down here.

We darn sure aren’t used to it.....and Texas found out the very hard way. This reminds me that I need to check the cats’ water. At 32 degrees, maybe it hasn’t frozen. You should see all the ice disks out back where I had to pour ice out of their dish. LOL!
Glad that salt is gone. I can’t even imagine how hard it would be on the lungs!

Y’all got colder than we did and it was bad enough here.
We get our share of frigid weather and I’m quite familiar with ice disks in the back yard from the cats’ water dish. LOL We’d have several now if any of the cats still lived outside.
Yeah, the salt and whatever they mix it with to make the brine isn’t easy on the lungs and sinuses. I’m not sure I’ve coughed it all out yet.
The car will get a good hosing tomorrow to wash the salt off of it. It’ll eat the car up otherwise.

A very pleasant good Friday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks to the Canteen DJ's for posting the music to today's thread.
How's everyone doing this morning?

Are you enjoying your break from shoveling snow?
Any chance the roads will be clear enough to take Gizmo out later today or will you need to wait until tomorrow?

It was nightmarishly cold and miserable for so many. I worried most about the kitties and if they’d be warm enough, but they all seem well and very happy to have it warmer.
Good idea to wash that mess off your car. I’ve been in places that use it a lot, and the cars’ undercarriage is a mess. Can’t imagine what it does to lungs.
By golly, neither of us had better have any bugs this summer. LOL!

Yeah, this blast came down and covered a huge swath of the country, and it just sat. Just a horrible mess.
I’m glad your kitties got through it ok. Even though they’ll snuggle together, I was fretting about them. Critters in your area aren’t eeeeeeeven acclimated to that kind of cold.
There isn’t a whole lot of salt on the car, fortunately, because I didn’t drive on any streets wet with the stuff but there’s still a little dust stuck to it. Enough to do damage. We make a point of cleaning the cars up when they get that stuff on them.
Check yer FReepmail. The Jade Dragon is dancing tonight and OMG, what a dance it is!

Good morning, E...((HUGS))...just got internet back.
Are you coming out of your cold spell? You and Gizmo able to get out? Right now it’s 0 at my house, but I’m used to it.
You and Gizmo have a good Saturday, and stay warm and safe.

Well, we'll have to wait and see how things go today. Our forecast high today is 43. They're saying patchy freezing fog though so we'll see if this forecast holds.
As to going to the lakes, it will probably be a few days. We usually go out in the country for these trips and the roads may still be kind of iffy with all of this snow we had.
The roads did clear up some. This is the East-West road.
And, this is the North-South road.
And Gizmo was having fun out in the snow.
So, we'll see how things go today. Whatever happens, I do plan a trip to the grocery store tomorrow.

Yuck, it looks like it’ll take a while for all that snow and ice to melt. :-(
But Gizmo seems to be making the most of it, having fun running around the yard. LOL
Good luck going to the store. I hope you take the North-South Road! It looks in a little better shape.

Thanks, luvie, for spinning tunes for the troops. ((HUGS))
Rest well.
